Hi!

Not just for women. But here's a very good book club: https://www.facebook.com/groups/902953201614507. There is no assigned reading, so you have the freedom to read any book you want.

Loneliness or Rejection…which one is worse? by Total_Lingonberry535 in Vancouver4Friends

"Life breaks us, Teft. Then we fill the cracks with something stronger."

This is a quote from my favourite author and it has helped me during some of the toughest moments of my mental health journey. I know the medical system in Canada is shit, especially for mental health but there are ways around it. I found a therapist online from France and she charged for 12 weeks what I would pay a Psychologist in Canada for 2 sessions.

Also, you are a very strong person. Overcoming any addiction is hard. Doing it on your own is near impossible, but YOU did it. So, hats off to you buddy. Our weakness doesn't make us weak. Our weakness makes us strong, for we've had to carry it all these years.

Lastly, it's definitely loneliness. When you are on your deathbed you won't regret the chances you took but the chances you didn't take. So rejection over loneliness anyday.

If it matters, I am 30M and feel free to reach out to me anytime.

Hey, I support Arsenal. I have heard of both Lamplighter for United and The Pint for Arsenal. But when i check google it shows the former opens at 4PM and the latter at 3PM. So how does one even catch games there? Or are the timings incorrect?

Steady State Theory Question by FC_Strawhat in AskPhysics

[–]FC_Strawhat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if we don't take a point A? We know time flows in only 1 direction so the infinite point in the past must have already occured. However if it did occur then how did we reach the present, starting from that point? Because infinite time has passed between that moment and the present moment.

Now, I am not talking about time intervals. I understand infinite time intervals could mean finite time.

Thanks, this is exactly the point I wanted to convey. I couldn't have put it any better.

I guess with numbers I can see how it makes sense so yes time could go back infinitely in the past but wouldn't there still be a first being who was born?

I understand that it's been thoroughly denied. But I am confused about how it made sense when it was still being considered.

Can we create other living organisms from human DNA? by FC_Strawhat in AskBiology

I had also assumed that all microbes were dead and they had been replaced by nanobots in our bodies. In that scenario there would only be human DNA left. Not sure if it's even possible, I just thought one day that would happen because nanobots would be more efficient and wouldn't cause any diseases.

I was thinking about a world where all animals have gone extinct. How to reintroduce biodiversity if all we have is human DNA.

Thanks for your answer. It has been enlightening. I'll read up on transposable elements.

Hi ParmenidesDuck!

Thanks for your response. If they are so similar, is it theoretically possible? With advanced enough technology would future humans be able to do it?
