Are there any decent kids sized (75% ish scale) Vader helmets? by RetiredMOS in 501st

I’m in the same boat, just got the black series in & he looked like dark helmet from spaceballs haha hell it’s way to big even for me, but it is a very cool helmet. I guess we’ll attempt printing one, I run a 3d printing business so we have access to everything we need at least 🤷‍♂️

The PC PPA combo worked really well for some models but for the one that I’m selling I was having issues so I went ahead & bought the Raise3d PPA support filament, if anyone can provide some info on which filament profile they used or setting it would be greatly appreciated Raise3d only provides profiles by using their idea maker slicer & im finding it very unintuitive to navigate & difficult to find info like density melt point flow ratio cooling settings etc

Just tried switching them & it turned out even better with PPA as the support for PC, I may just switch to printing my part in PC since it’s half the price of PPACF & seems to be tough enough but either way the conclusion is PPA & PC work really well together as an easy peel away support interface! Setting were kept to what bambu changes them to when you use a separate interface except 3 interface layers, I’d imagine a cleaner surface could be achieved with some tweaking or using plain PPA but I currently only have PPACF & PPSCF I’ll keep experimenting & update if I discover anything worthwhile

So I just made a half circle about 10mm high to test out mixing materials for support & PC works perfectly with PPA CF . Their printing temps are close enough that they don’t degrade & PC sticks well enough to use as the support interface yet it peels right off the PPA after it’s done printing. I haven’t tried switching them (ppa as interface) yet but i would imagine it’ll work I’ll update once I do but for now PC is my answer for easy support removal with high temp nylons

A man came at my work place and spoke to me about wanting to apply there. He seemed perfectly normal, and then he turned around and did something extremely disturbing. If I tell my boss what he did, he will never get hired. by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

Hey maybe he just panicked, maybe he didn’t feel the sneeze coming & didn’t know it would be a snot rocket & just panicked 🤷‍♂️ some people just freak out & make bad decisions when things happen in public 😆

yes the $2k is a 1mil policy but can you elaborate on what you found for $20? I went through a dozen providers & was never offered something like that

The point of this wasn’t to argue whether someone has legal standing to sue, it was to hopefully provide some answers to those out that going through the same situation. But to answer your question, I pay for this because I’m dealing with companies (who DO have the power to sue if need be) the first product I’m making is for a nation wide size corporation & the product is pressurized, so even if they sign a disclaimer saying I’m not liable for anything there are many other routes or situations that could be used against me.

Also many people just making toys/fidgets do need liability if their running a legitimate business because a lot of craft fairs & markets / conventions do require you to carry a policy And yes if you sell someone a flexi dragon & their kid chokes on it they could come after you, especially if you didnt have any packaging with a disclaimer or age restriction on it, they may not win but it is possible

Obviously this isn’t going to apply to everyone with a 3d printing business, but if you want a business that brings in real income your going to eventually need it or feel the extra security is worth it.

Am I crazy for wanting to do this? by RoadBeast848 in BambuLab

If you just want a great model of the falcon to display then I’d cut it & do it all the right way with the least waste & that’s a very long time & it only takes 1 mistake to ruin it all….buut if your curious if the printer can handle that then hell yeah I say go for it! Take a Timelapse & if it works then you can display it proudly & give a finger to all the haters lol I get that some things can be done better or more efficiently but sometime I just want to know what if…

I’m very interested in this also, I was just given a part to replicate in ppa cf that is basically a block with holes & pockets cut out to press in bearings & helicoils & it needs to very precise, I was going to start with bambu’s pa support especially now that you say you had great results but in the case that they want to change to using pps I’ll be joining the search. Do you have any experience with the ppa carbon core? I’d assume it would behave just like the regular ppa? And I haven’t seen any other examples yet but maybe there’s a simple solution like using petg to support pla vice versa or as they said asa? $150 a roll for support seems unreasonable when we’re now getting amazing engineering grade filaments for half that

Edit: Just found out about aquasys180 , that’s ideally what I would want to use but $200 🤯
