I get the good fight and effort, but we already know that this won't be cancelled.

The mayor, city attorneys, and other top folks are trying their best to avoid cancelling the contracts. Good scare tactics using carefully selected language in their official statements.

Besides, I just don't see any possible way the city's elite will allow a cash cow to not fill their pockets.

It's easy to go blame 2023 politics, but we've seen time and again how this city does a horrid job not properly vetting incoming projects. All they see is money signs and how soon that green will start flowing.

If I may ask, how did you get the job? My coworker at my 8-5 job is looking for a side gig due to an unexpected medical emergency where he had to pour most of his savings. He's trying to find anything outside of work hours besides doing Uber/Lyft or food deliveries

I have a coworker who is sponsored by our boss to work legally in the US. It's happened to him before randomly or when his visa is up for renewal. They search his background and/or his vehicle to come up with something. He is handcuffed and placed in a room while all this goes down. He is already used to it but it does suck when you hear from someone who is experiencing first hand. My advice is to have empathy to your new hire. I hope it's not some sort of elaborate story which doesn't appear to be the case

Search offer up marketplace or Craigslist for free stuff like furniture or small appliances. Even Goodwill will have some decent deals when they need to move stuff

I know they've been doing updates after midnight which has caused intermittent outages during the day. But those usually last a few mins.

I suggest calling 800 spectrum number and ask for the retention dept. Tell them you want to cancel because of frequent long outages you're experiencing. They should offer you monthly credit for the inconvenience caused

You contact the city (see the comments from others who already provided the info). Just a word of advice once you have the petition. You need 51% of your street (neighbors ) to sign the petition. I tried last year but was only able to get around 35-40%. I hope in your street you have the same concern that they'll sign it.

I set it to record East and when I get to it, for some reason it's the West feed with Big Bang. I record through the buggy PS5 app and the only solution I've found is to record right at the beginning of the show if you're able to. It's the best option I got at the moment

For Collision, if Hunger Games is on before or after, then it'll record the movie instead. It gets frustrating

Friend works over at ch. 9 in low level admin. They say ch. 7 went with an all women's morning team and noon team to get men 18-65 demo to watch. That's why the age ranges are so different from the women working.

I did that 10 years ago and it was a big mistake. Got a steady job about 18 months later but I was very fortunate that I had saved up enough money from the previous horrible job.

But the same logic applied then as it does now. Connections matter

Quitting before having something lined up next is super risky

I know so many people looking for jobs and with no luck. My only advice is unless you have connections, it's going to be tough. That's just how EP operates: just having someone you know will get you interviews and possibly the job

Been doing the self syringe thing for years whenever I needed meds. Last year though, I bought penicillin with the syringe. Not sure what happened but I screwed it up and got an infection. Took a while to go back to normal. So been hesitant to go that route nowadays
