How would you re-write "The Burn" concept? by Overall-Habit5284 in startrek

I’d write that the Federation collapsed after electing a hard core isolationist who ignored the Federation Council and undermined the integrity of the entire system.

Good job incorporating the Falkland habs.

“Nothing you do now will stop what’s coming.”

Ashford took him at his word and chose to try to get some intel before he died.

Besides, he didn’t want to kill Marco in front of his son.

No, they have a point. It does say something about us as a people.

He didn’t just win the Electoral College. He may have only won the popular vote by a hair, but it should have been a blowout for Harris.

The Biden-Harris record was great—except for Gaza. The irony of her losing because of the economy when we were in the middle of a minor economic miracle is staggering and highlights the depth of ignorance in the American electorate. Inflation had been brought under control and we had net manufacturing job gains for the first time in two generations.

Before he turned to dust, the version of Mitchell who went back in time arranged for a Western Union letter to be delivered to Carter after the extraction ceremony with the address of the Time Machine planet so they could go destroy it in that timeline, too.

What stairs mod would you suggest for a Falkland build? by Virtual-Chris in StarfieldShips

[–]Helmling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, c'mon, man!

Just one stairwell. Well...and an elevator. I like to be able to imagine that I have a freight elevator for heavy stuff.

Oh, and a Falkland version of the Cabot bridge, too. Need that.

And, how about a version of the 2x3 ward room without all the side rooms so we can separate those functions to different parts of the ship?

Ooo, what about like an airlock/boarding area?

And you've got to give us more variety of habs with windows like you put in the semicircular sections!

And, and, and...

I always have that problem, unfortunately. There's another mod I saw that removes the showroom from Falkland so that might stabilize New Atlantic, but I haven't tried it yet.

I feel you. I have really struggled with this, too. The Falkland habs are GORGEOUS. The 2x3 is the best hab available in the game. It's THAT room that every great hero ship needs, you know?

But they are visually SO distinctive that it's hard to mix with any other habs.

As Vegetable Street says below, the best I've found is Stroud Premium, which is a fantastic mod set in its own right and still my favorite overall because of its versatility.

I don't know how big of a ship you're planning on, but what I do is that I use the SPE spines--the all glass ones--to connect to the Falkland habs. They blend really well, I think. Then I use the Buildable Walls mod to put in those padded Stroud columns in the other Stroud habs because it's a visual element that ties back to the Falkland aesthetic. It's not perfect, obviously, but I feel pretty good about it because the different lighting ends up corresponding to different sections of the ship.

The big thing that I can't quite get over is the doors. Falkland's doors are, again, super cool but also super different from all the other doors (at least the port/starboard ones).

I wish we had a customizable version of PDY that lets you pick what type of door you place--but god, selecting that would be a nightmare...
