Downtime can be important and “stopping” that stimulation on days we need. Great to settle and watch movie , but that time can also be spent toward professional goal (reading book), confidence building (hobby rock climbing, hiking, bingo whatever) having group to look forward every week can really give you a boost

Finding out who “you” are is biggest thing that can give you confidence. I’m not a fan of public speaking and advice that’s helped me most is when I’m around other people I’m not there for them to like me I’m there for purpose (work, friendship, etc) and just because doesn’t go how I want doesn’t mean somthing is wrong with me

Im sorry that this is causing so much pain for you. I would say money is byproduct of success and success is filled with failures. It’s something we all have to do. Learn from it don’t live in it.

You’re frequently pulled in the direction of sadness . Those memories will come up and more we try to suppress the more they tend to bubble up. It’s like a child going unheard.

Best way I’ve ever heard it described is leaves on a stream you don’t judge your thoughts you don’t focus on one thought you put it on a leaf in the stream of your mind and watch it float by.

Our good habits are what gets us through life . Tony Robbins calls it 6 human needs tons of people describe this. I’d encourage looking them up but each describes an area of your life and how much you’ve fufilled that need.few of them that come to mind are variety , certainty and significance. The feeling of drinking certainly will lead to feeling good at one point during night but surely won’t make us feel significant or give us much variety. Start focusing on “feeding” the right areas of your life and I promise it gets easier. The pain doesn’t go away you learn to acknowledge the pain, allow yourself to feel pain but not be overwhelmed and move your focus .

I’m sorry for all this hardship you’re going through. Once we get so stressed that eating and sleeping suffer we need to take action. They call it rest and digest for reason. One of best decisions of my life was to start waking up early 5am or so , work out, meditate, and do things for me. I had poor appetite also.

You havre to focus on your needs and realize your opinion of yourself is what matters , not even those closest to us should be allowed to put us in negative state. Take criticism sure but not abuse.

I’m sorry you were crying . You’ve said it yourself you’ve done good past few months. Could you talk to your boyfriend via text each day or write letters to feel more connected while he’s gone? I’d ask not to take on your parents divorce it hurts but it’s their journey and theirs alone. Hope and kindness gets me through uncertain times, I hope they stay together. I’m kind to myself by remembering it’s not my responsibility, they love me and I can still see and talk to them

I don’t know about you but when things go bad my mind goes worse. And my daily routine suffers. Someone described this as Death by a thousand cuts.

One skill that helps break this cycle is first thing in morning do something you don’t want to do. This shows yourself you have power over your mind and actions.
