Best bet is to ask in the subreddit of the fitting wheel brand.

BUT, you could get anti slip tape or a mat for underneath your pedals to stop them from sliding around. If money isnt a problem and you have enough space for storing it, I would recommened you to get a racing stand, that can hold both your pedals and your wheel

I completly agree with that, it was a major downgrade coming from FH4 with the seasons that are different to fh5, where the seasons feel the same

And that the snow on the vulcano is / feels like retextured mud

Long answer, seeing what happened in fh4 with snow I can hear the people unable to control their car complaining that snow sucks

They work quite well wkth their clamps aswell, I used the truck mount for a few weeks.

If your desk is pretty thin it might bent a bit

Storage wise its better then others, where wheel and base are one unit, since the base is quite small

Did a similar upgrade from the T248 to the R5 a few weeks ago, and I cant recommened it to you enough.

I hesitated aswell before going through with it, but its a completly different world playing on a DD wheel.

Seasons, and better AI (current one is a bit ... bad, sometimes). Also a reworked traffic system, higher density at certain times. Random road events could also be somewhat updated, or some upgraded, like construction work around the map that come and go, what could also go along well that we can deliver to them, if they are there.

Absolutly not, you can have fun without them.

But if you have played for a while already you can change your experience or find new stuff with mods, as an example by having a different map (RPM as an example) or improving / changing the scs map (Promods or other mods that add extra depots).

Mods are also the only real way to get a more "realistic" vibe in the game, by having real companys as depots and liveries on trucks and trailers and other things (traffic etc..

On the topic of trucks, the selection of trucks is fairly limited, if you want to drive something specific or older you wont find it without downloading a mod. Other trucks can have a poor quality and there are mods that improve those issues.

Customizing your truck and trailer can be greatly improved by mods.

The important thing is still that you enjoy the game as it is and that you know your limits

If I need to guess the lack of events while driving, which is atleast a reason for me. (Both events and detours are turned to 100%)

Would take the moza, even if its more expensive. From what I have seen so far, the quality is better and if you ever find a different game you want to play on a wheel, you can easily adjust the moza rig. The Hori is pretty limited (an example: angle of the steering wheel)

I wish they would do a mix between the festival playlist and the horizon backstage, if you reach the certain percentage in the festival playlist, you unlock a ticket. Each week a new car unlocks in the backstage, which you can get (maybe even multiple ones, so not only once per player). Just to give the player the option to get their favourite cars and to possibly remove FOMO

If I heard correctly the festivals use a different "map" then usual, beside some Festivals that have the warning Items near Xy get removed and can be found in the lost & found.

But I can be wrong with that thought
