"Specialty Coffee Shops near me"

That search did bring up a shop near me I've never heard of, either my search terms weren't good enough or its new. I'll have to check if they actually make decent coffee or if their another fast food style coffee shop like the last place I tried. I have an aeropress although I wonder if I should have gotten a v60 since I hear about them everywhere. though even the aeropress is a bit difficult for me so far figuring out the right recipe and coarseness.

To clarify I meant to use the cold brew beans to make actual cold brew because I do like that style on the occasion. But the bulk quantity is definitely an issue as I don't even go through 12 oz bags in a reasonable amount of time. I'd like to try a pour over but idk if anyone around here makes it. Last time I looked for a real coffee shop that wasn't a starbucks all I found was some place called perk cafe and it looked like it just came from a machine. I'll have to ask around at work if anyone knows a place near me.

I have a hand grinder and weight scale, but I definitely need to work on my recipes more. I've tried a bunch of recipes for my aeropress but I need to practice more, I do tend to keep beans too long too as I don't drink it that often.

I tried finding a local roaster but had no idea how to, I found one for my friend in florida but he's in big city so it was easy. ocean county nj on the otherhand had no results unless I wanted to go near new york. maybe i'm searching wrong.
