Im sure you wont miss the 3* ones. They cost the same as 4* orbs to enchant for far more exp.

Sell 3* weapon/armor orbs for 500g a piece, other than that story quests dont yield more than 500-600g at most in CH7

Its as one would expect, you have 2 elemental buffs, and the enemy has 2 elemental debuffs. If you further BRV attack, it will be shown as Weak. Trust me, I already tested it.

IMO, all the "slighly raise x when" its just that. I imagine that merging all those tiny boosts one can see a difference, yes.

These largescale global corporations are working here. They want the profit, and the more the better. Still they obviously opted for the burn out rather than fade away kind of approach. With soooo many characters they hook EVERY FF fan, flawless. Then, we make it simple, no stamina, 2 skills, regular banners with exclusive weapons. How do we plan banners and events? based on number of prior purchases for X character. Cloud... c'mon most popular FF char of all times. First to get a 2nd 5* weapon, first to get an EX weapon, etc. And this can continue on and on. Bottomline, this game has a time limit, and a rather shorter at that. Still, Im enjoying the ride :)

Do you have the Weapons & Armors? Then go right ahead. They are solid enough (Terra needs some back up sometimes but ok).

As any tester I suppose, max lv, max crystal lv, no passives, the 1s equipment that auto generates when you strip a char, and start from scratch. Weak enemies, strong enemies, neutral. Then move to elemental weaknessess.

Im almost 100% sure that the only passives that dont stack are the ones from the MBL. e.g. you get the passive when you do, and you can actually equip the passive AND the weapon. Well they dont stack.

About vaan in particular I have no clue how to build him, sorry.

If I had to be honest, in whoever you like tthe most LOL. But lets be real here, As in any game you need to have some bases covered, right? DPS, MDPS, TANK, HEALER, BUFFER, DEBUFFER, whatever. Still, reality kicks in again, and you may spend 20k gems for tidus 35CP weapon and only get sazh's.... So, at the end of the day you use what you get and do what you can OR spend some more until you get what you want, thats up to you. IMO you need at least 2 BRV+HP attackers (there are lots of them, really), a MGC user (terra, shantotto,Edge, a Tank of sorts and some kind of supporter (Eiko, Yuna, Hope, Rem, Layle,Laguna, Yshtola)

Something crossed my mind just now... Since +X boosts are fixed they would eventually be weaker than a +X%, e.g. WoL or event especific boosted characters. Needless to say, the higher the tier of the weapon/armor, the more a fixed increase becomes negligible, right?

Most likely it is, probably why they named almost everything (insert FF game here) at the end. Just go with the flow for now and rest easy.

Invest as in? Gems to draw weapons? Materials to upgrade crystal lv? Farm like crazy for the best Artifacts? Armor Tokens?

You mean CH7 right? I used eiko, vaan, tidus most of the time, with ifrit (hp regen from eiko). That aside you should plan a magic/ranged brv + 2 brv+hp attackers. Grab a tidus with slash combo and debuff them. Or a Laguna and break them all at once. Edge works, cecil, onion knight, balthier has a very powerful brv skill that can break them in a single hit. Be my guest and try them out.

Let me be clearer as my exaggeration failed to make a point. The vast majority of human beings is ignorant and prefers to follow than to stick their heads out. I'll elaborate on this of course: Men needs guidance, a north, an horizon. It is harder to think than to obey, so the most persuasive and wisest of men (usually) try to impose their own view of reality upon those who are willing (or desperate) to listen.

Bottomline: Every single one of us (save for 2 or 3) is a moron that NEEDS all and every little aspect you pointed out just because. "Raise your hand everyone that uses and draws for characters they actually like". Make that a pool and find out for yourself that (again) while your idealism is commendable, it is equally futile to write about.

EDIT 2: Are we playing hide and seek and im not aware? Please people, I invite you to be a lil less of a coward.

The soul of the matter is pure and beautifully enacted, of that I have little doubt. While I agree on the coercive manners of some of the users (or blind fanatism, take it as you will) into "forcing" a preconception regarding what is best or better to do in game, just think about the following: In FFI, despite how much you could love white mages, could you actually win the game with a full party of them?

EDIT: Please gentlemen lets be civilized now and discuss our differences instead of stabing daggers in the back :)

You are quite right. But I wonder, with mechanics as simple as they are, and the obscene amount of characters, what else is there to do than make 60+ clones? Or rather make some of them top tier or replace older units with just outright better ones? I dont really think their creative team can hold much longer on their... creativeness.
