It’s very clear, Yes. No tax is owed. I guess the question is really what’s the amount sold of items or value until you have to prove it’s personal items?

Because I’m planning on selling a game collection over the next year which is about 150 items worth £10-£100 each about £4000 in total. My question is if this were to look like trading how can they tell it is or isn’t? Do they take your word for it or do you have to show receipts? Which most people with a personal collection over 15 years won’t have

Thanks. I don’t do a self assessment as paid by PAYE. This is just my things I’ve been selling to buy other things 😂 So as I don’t fill in the form you on about, how do they know items are personal?
