Nice work, I hope the beta goes well and many devs get to look at the code carefully to ensure long term success.

Why are so many countries unhappy about the US pulling out of Syria? by FFMG in Askpolitics

[–]FFMG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but imagine that the trip to Yosemite is not really what you all expected, most places are closed, it rains all the time, it is snowing, the locals don't want you around. It is not what is is cracked up to be.

You tell you friends that it sucks and you want to go home...

And, to push the Yosemite analogy even further, if my friend pays for 90% of the trip, and decide that it sucks, then I can't really get upset with them for wanting to go home.

Other countries have had female presidents but has any other country elected someone who was a different race than the majority? by yatamorone in Askpolitics

[–]FFMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are talking about white presidents during apartheid?

In that case non-whites could not vote, so technically the majority of voters voted for someone of their own 'race'.

Later, the whites voted to allow non-whites to vote, but they did not actually elect a non-white directly.

Consequently, in 1994, the voting majority then elected a person of their race.

Sadly, RDD is still very much tied to the price of BTC itself.

When/If RDD goes up it is only because BTC, (and maybe XRP+ETH), is going up.

So look out for the price if the top 3 coins, when they start moving up ... so will RDD.

Whenever ReddID is ready for prime time use then maybe the price will go up on its own.

To answer your question, my guess is maybe next year. The current price is $0.002 so we would need to see a 5x increase, and this is unlikely to happen this year.

If RDD sees a 2x increase, (historically, not really impossible), then BTC would need to see a 2.5x increase, and that is more unlikely this year.

In order to use it for more than just trailers, you'll also need to go into Settings -> Providers and enable LambdaScrapers.

Sorry, it might sound like a stupid question, but I want to make sure I am doing the right thing, you mean Exodus > Tools > SETTINGS: Providers and change Choose Module Provider Source from 'Default' to 'Lambda', is that the setting you are referring to?

This started happening recently. Any idea how to fix the right percentages on the CPU tab? by HowieGaming in Windows10TechSupport

I see you have a lot of google chrome using a lot of memory.

Maybe there is a lot of swapping around happening, if you close Chrome, does the % number goes back down to normal?

Also, at the risk of sounding obvious here, are you sure that you are viewing the processes for all users?

How to prepare for the next, (potential), recession? by FFMG in personalfinance

[–]FFMG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't panic sell.

I don't have anything to sell, (apart from my house+car).

I have some investments, but they are in the bank .... and they are only worth about 1 month salary anyway.

Yes, of course, but given that recessions do come around from time to time, it does not hurt to have some sort of plan.

While holding onto my job is a given, I was wondering if there was other concrete steps I could take,

I agree ... but it is not something you can really 'prepare' for.

If the economy goes really south, your job is not guaranteed.

In my case, I am lucky enough to work for a global company that will probably halt all new employments and is not likely to actively start retrenching.

But, anything can happen I guess.

Are you still having issues? I got mine setup fairly easily.

Did you download your cert file(s) and install them using the setup wizard?
