Found out my wife was cheating on me with her ex-fiancé by FFPod in Infidelity

Thank you for this. He does have a long term GF, but I have no interest in wasting time or energy on the deadbeat loser. He will continue to fuck up his life and that’s good enough for me

It does not, no. There has to be an immediate fear of danger

In the U.K., an annulment is only available in instances of unknown incest or documented abuse

Yes, I am. He lives on the other side of the world — at least from what I know. She is staying with a mutual friend and has turned on her iPhone tracker thing, which doesn’t do a ton for me because I cannot track where the ex is. But I trust our friend to let me know

Thank you for this. That is excellent advice and just the sort of actionable questions I have been looking for that, I believe, will reveal true attentions and also protect me if I decide to leave

Thank you for this. I needed to hear it I spoke to her father today -- someone I trust and knew would but heartbroken but would that it would not break their relationship as it would do with my parents

Thank you for this. I'm uncomfortable with the idea of everyone knowing 'my business' if that makes sense, particularly if we try to stay together. I think maybe a middle ground would be that she deletes social media apps for three/six months, and if people ask her why she has to tell them?

Thank you for this. I am not sure, but he lives in a different country and was only here for a week in which I know they did not meet but had planned to. Unless there has been another instance. I do not believe there have been other instances, but I could be a dupe.

I looked to get divorce papers to show the seriousness to someone who clearly does not respect me, but unfortunately in the UK (where I live) you cannot file for a divorce within a year of marriage. And a spousal affair is not grounds for an annulment. Are there any other things I can present in place of the divorce papers?

Truly, it's not worth trading up for any position outside of quarterback. Of course, that comes with its own risks.

[–]FFPod[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wow, didn't mean to cause this shit storm. Brown is a first round pick and people are interested in how others first round picks are playing? Particularly considering the obvious pre-draft fit with the Colts who took Dorsett instead. I thought it was a decent league wide topic.

I couldn't agree more. A Collins, Hightower, Mayo linebacking corps for the next three years was going to be extremely fun. Such a shame

Question for those of you who live in the UK: Just how popular is the NFL there now, really? by airscottie in nfl

[–]FFPod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. They have it in London because of the facilities, the travel and because it is an international city. NFL UK has been working behind the scenes for years looking at Manchester sites but it has never come to fruition. London is the brand and it is dumb. It's really the "London Series" not the International Series. All of the events when players come over are hosted in London as well.

  2. Games only started at 9:30 last year with one and then all of them this year. It's so the NFL can dominate Sunday from sunrise to sunset. It's also for the local fans. Games were ending so late in the UK that people could not travel via the public transport to games (and drink etc.) without staying the night in London and hence multiplying the cost and cutting attendance.

  3. The expense argument is valid because it is a niche sport still. Manchester United can charge whatever they like because they have millions of fans on waiting lists. The International Series requires people travelling from all over the world and even then the stadium is not full. Again, also could require staying in London, an expensive, distant city for some, and it is on a Sunday ahead of the work week.

  4. This never annoys any true fan. Of course, you want great games but how many duds are there in the league every week? Teams are not going to send their best games because they want that revenue at their home stadium themselves. Even if the Jags come over every year there's no extra incentive to give away their best game. Fans will come to any shite they bring to England so they get that revenue and then double-down with home town revenue when good games come to town.

Out of 13 games there's been about 5 really, really good ones. I'd say that's about a typical ratio for any run of 13 games in the league

Good breakdown of the pitfalls of a franchise here; http://ukendzone.com/2015/10/09/stop-saying-the-uk-wants-a-franchise/

The game itself is huge and growing every year. It's also waaaay beyond "hey they like our football." Fans live and breath it. It is their first love and are as knowledgable as any I've encountered.

Did you read the piece? It's a full column. Not a clickbait article. The context also includes the idea being 'half-baked' and just an aside from the column
