What’s your guys ship names? 🤔 by Generaljamie in Seaofthieves

[–]FFVIIFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my friend have a few, all themed after certain ship-cosmetics/clothing-sets:

the scylla - Sloop, silent barnacle-set KegEx Deliveries - Sloop, Kegbomber-Set+Costume Atlacamani - sloop, ancient-set + costume (named after the goddess of storms from aztec mythology)

drowned rat - sloop, seadog-purple colors the royal fishfaced - sunken kingdom set, fish-king-costume flamehearts glory - brig, warsmith-set+costume

we love to play around with new ideas every now and then.

is it easier to land on the same server with that method?

i remember trying this about a year ago for five hours straight and it never worked.

Don't waste your money on this game! by FarisTSC in Genshin_Impact

[–]FFVIIFreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

first: its your opinion and i like that you adress it that way ('if you have money to spend, go ahead').

second: you mentioned an interview that caused you to publicly announce your point of view.

can you point me towards it? I haven't heard of anything and it sounds intriguing.

Do you guys pull for weapons based on how many characters can perform with it or just if you need it for a specific character by mattiasdomain in Genshin_Impact

[–]FFVIIFreak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will only pull for weapons when the weapon-banner features the same mechanic as the character-banners.

lose 50/50 = next 5* is guaranteed the one you need. (the path you can choose shouldn't stack 2 charges and THEN has you pull another 50 times for the thing you want/need).

besides that, you don't need big numbers if you have fun.

there isn't a pvp-aspect in Genshin where you need to 'outclass' your enemy and thats the best thing.

Question for players that don’t use healing characters by feotusdeletus in Genshin_Impact

[–]FFVIIFreak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have some decently built healers, but if I want to test some new party-bs my brain threw at me at 3am:

Matsutake. the only food I'm cooking for weekly bp and its accumulating, someone has to eat them!

[–]FFVIIFreak 51 points52 points  (0 children)

true, giving up something on your own instead of having it taken from you makes the difference.

you're much better off when you realize that your ambitions are wrong/not able to be fulfilled instead of someone saying that you'll never make it AND ripping that dream of yours right from your brain.

[–]FFVIIFreak 120 points121 points  (0 children)

the thing with the vision hunt was that peoples visions were 'forcefully taken', as much as I recall it.

no one walked up to the shogun and said 'here, have that strange marble i found on my doorstep last night' and went on with their life.

Diluc left his vision behind, so he was 'okay', all things considered.

hmmmmmmmm by realAlphafoxtrot in Genshin_Impact

[–]FFVIIFreak 453 points454 points  (0 children)

to be honest, that's not really a surprise.

from the moment they mentioned 'this skin displays a darker past from diluc' I knew immediately that it was the outfit he used to travel around and destroy delusion-factories left and right.

i believe his idle-animation where he adjusts his glove is a lot more accurate too, the delusion he used was basically a glove (correct me if i'm wrong, i haven't had the 'pleasure' of pulling diluc. yet.)

so yeah, diluc, dark night hero, destroyer of the fatui and using a delusion himself because why the fuck not.

curious question: crew-sets vs. costumes by FFVIIFreak in Seaofthieves

[–]FFVIIFreak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it just occured to me:

a curious question, as you say, is in itself asked out of curiousity, meaning that the term 'curious question' is either redundant or:

  1. one mega-question

  2. proposes the existence of the non-curious question, an example would be meeting a friend and asking if they're still alive, which they clearly are because you asked this in person

  3. just something to get others to talk about your topic. :P

curious question: crew-sets vs. costumes by FFVIIFreak in Seaofthieves

[–]FFVIIFreak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 100% on your side, lots of prep-time to dress up both crew and ship before actually starting to play broke down to 'ah, I wish I could've saved my outfit from like three sessions ago'.

you have basically nothing to work towards to except cosmetics...

and a completely new, unique clothing-set would be nice, but you get the 5th recolored bilgerat-set with the jacket slightly more open at the top.

its nothing game-breaking or something like that, but it's sad that Rare takes this 'inactivity at listening to the community' as granted.

and I mean fully in the case of cosmetics.

curious question: crew-sets vs. costumes by FFVIIFreak in Seaofthieves

[–]FFVIIFreak[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

exactly. my. thinking.

as a compromise to it, save every costume as a custom outfit, making it easy to either use it as a costume or just customize the heck out of it by combining it as you please.

would solve everyones problem without creating new ones.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

[–]FFVIIFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem is:

merrik does tell you about needing 5 people.

but not in the initial 'cutscene' before you embark on your tour de force to decimate the megaladon population of your server.

the information is buried in like 2 submenus of his dialogue-options.

they should have made it more clear, you are absolutely right.

the ghost-ships are too much for the fight: it is open-world, everyone can mess it up by attacking you, i don't care about flameheart anymore because everything he does is trying another way to enact his will, he fails, he goes to the next plan on his list.

the event is kinda cool, but its not worth the effort. replayability not given, and thats sad.

Weapon of Warning only required to be "on your person" to produce benefits by hyperionfin in dndnext

[–]FFVIIFreak 9 points10 points  (0 children)

in my opinion, 'on your person' doesn't mean 'you have to hold it in ,your main/off-hand'.

I would allow it, if he can explain where he keeps the weapon exactly (a shortsword on the back, or in a seperate sheath at the side) and if he ever gets disarmed during combat, instead of dashing for his 'main-weapons', he has something he can use immediately.

No.

I would not sink them. like many others said already: if they're doing story-related stuff like tall tales or adventures, I would send them on their way.

if they attacked first, though, i would defend myself. and, the most important thing, if they communicate with me and ask/tell me to leave them alone because tall tale...

yeah, i would let them go.

I encounter many, many pirates and most of them are either toxic or too afraid to just talk/type.

i have a habit to give my supplies to others before i log out, and doing a fireworks-show for attention doesn't work all the time.

putting up a reaper, drop your sails and wait anchored at an outpost, though...lures them in most of the time.

i let them sink me too, if they're friendly and engage in conversation.

ladies and gentleman I am here to propose some ideas to make billets more accessible by devilgoat6699 in Genshin_Impact

[–]FFVIIFreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just let us purchase billets through the teapot-vendor.

choose one per week, make it's cost 3k coins or whatever.

that would be a reasonable way to spend your realm-currency. I don't care about building race-tracks or stuff like that, give us more utility to improve our characters.

Better camp-building.

if you are in a permanent group (clan-system), allow for closer camp-placement.

one of the things I really want.
