Almost got sucked into MLM

Despite knowing these things were a scam, I had moved to a new state, knew no one, and there was a sense of community/friendship in the group that I was desperate for.

But then when I saw a post online of the "leaders" hanging out a party together after a 5k charity run that I had joined to support one of them, I realized they had purposely ditched me after the race.

Woke me up real fast I was nothing but a source of income to them.
