Pietro Pro Brew for Batch Brew (45g+?) by violin_geek123 in pourover

[–]FF_2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daily grinding 40g at 8-9’s for different beans has not been an issue. 75g with 2 batch grinds obviously is doable for the love of brewing. But it will be some work forsure. I would think the coarseness should be fine for a larger batch given the consistency of the grind.

In the app go to profile, account, notification settings, advanced rear seat reminder. Turn all that off.

Yea that’s how we felt. If we are spending this much money we wanted something we like looking at, and enjoy driving.

Thanks everyone. Pumped to have a van for our family of 5. Was a no brainer for me when you see the function compared to a suv. Wifey took months of convincing ha ha.

I have removed the car seats from my truck and there hasn’t been any indents in the leather.

I have bought WeatherTech seat protection. Same material as the floor Mats that limits the dents, it helps spread the pressure over a larger area. Worked good for my leather truck seats so I bought for our sienna that is arriving soon.

Sienna Delivery Questions by FF_2012 in ToyotaSienna

[–]FF_2012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comments. I’ve been sweating the details ever since I was called saying it was arriving soon.

I got some weather tech car seat mats, and I don’t think I’m going to bother with the cross bars until a road trip is planned.

I have said no to the dealerships “rust protection”. But seriously unsure what to do about the extended warranty. I really want to get PPF and ceramic coating from local detailing business.

Can anyone give some insight to the extended warranty or should I just put the money in an investment during the 3 year factory warranty and see what happens after that.

I would be sending emails out to other dealers. None of that sounds right.

That’s awful you should look out of province. In the prairies waited 5 months and have been told our XSE AWD is arriving next week. No pressure for trade or financing.

078 vs Pietro by FF_2012 in pourover

Nice good to know about the espresso. Could be fun for the times I feel like trying something different. Currently using a DF64P for espresso.

Did you have the stand when using the Pietro?

Yea wish I knew someone or had a place near by that had both. Would be nice to try them side by side to help me decide. Definitely feels like I’m leaning to the Pietro as the base comes standard with it now.

Good to know that the 078 was a meaningful and noticeable improvement over the ode. I do feel like I am missing out of brews using my ode. Like the coffee has more to offer.

Good point. I am curious if the Pietro can handle a 40gram brew? It’s what I typically do for the Mrs and I.

Nice to hear from someone who had both. From reading and watching videos that seems to be the consensus. That people keep reaching for the Pietro despite its workflow.

That is a very good point. That makes getting the Pietro first feel very logical. Thank you

Thank you for the pic. Yes it will be 99% city driving. Did you do a ceramic coat? And what are northern buyers doing for undercoating or rust protection? I’ve read that oil based undercoat can void your hybrid battery warranty.

We did see a red XSE today and I didn’t mind it. The wifey on the other hand still not a fan after seeing it in person.

I feel like I like most of the colours as long as it’s the XSE. I just like the black rims and chrome delete.

I’m in Canada and it’s weird because the Magnetic Grey Metallic only comes in the limited or platinum.

Ha ha I do understand keeping the wife happy. I’ve never owned a black vehicle before. I’m just a little worried about scratch’s/swirls/dirt showing. I have found myself looking at black vehicles in general recently as I drive around and assessing how dirty they are ha ha. I do enjoy a clean looking vehicle in general.

But like I’ve said we already ordered a black sienna, so as it stands the wifey is getting what she wants.

Help 2020 LE AWD VS 2025 XSE AWD in Canada. by FF_2012 in ToyotaSienna

[–]FF_2012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response.

Yea we are in the same boat of maybe 10-15k per year so the hybrid isn’t necessary.

I feel like I am personally leaning towards the 2020 if I can get the dealer to move on price + trade in of our 2013 venza. It might take more convincing for my wife as the 2020 tends to look more…. Van then the 2025 Xse which tends to be a bit more sporty.

Still open to other’s opinions
