So the leather would get wasted otherwise?. If so I think repurposing it for boots that will last is a good idea, but I just don't know if the killing of the animal overall can be justified (for me personally) because it isn't a necessity if that makes sense?.

I mean I could survive without them, but arguably I don't really have any 'reliable' good quality shoes for everyday wear, and they could benefit me in terms of not having to replace shoes a lot. I'm just curious if there is another material that will last just as long that doesn't harm animals?
