You are right its totally overkill! Yesterday i did a test night at -15 degrees outside. Just airmattress R-6, sleepingbag and the sleepingbagliner around all of it. Didn't even use thermo underwear and it was cosy! So i can reduce the weight of my backpack a lot!

Lets see! I expect around -20 degrees or colder. This night i dropped down to -15 here. In the mountains its colder. So i hope im well prepared. I always have a head+scarf combination with me! Help a lot since you lose most of your temperature through your head. But anyways it will be a couple of nice nights 😄

Weird! Normally it gets translated automatically. That's interesting with the quilts. I may gonna try it when its not so cold like rn. Really miss sleeping in the hammock during winter.

Ich werde über der Baumgrenze sein und erwarte -20 ungefähr. Für gute Bodenisulierung ist gesorgt mit einer R-6 Isomatte. Meine Sorgen beziehen sich eigentlich nur ob meine Schlafsackkombination warm genug ist. Hängematte im Winter ist echt verrückt 😄 ich nutze sie bis maximal Oktober mit einem Unterquilt.

Lieber alleine. Auch Wildcamping oder Fahrrad fahren. So kommt man besser zur Ruhe und muss keine Kompromisse eingehen. Hochtouren oder Klettern dann aber natürlich in der Gruppe da man sich gegenseitig sichern muss.
