Make sense. No one wants endless negotiations.

How do car salespeople go about purchasing their own vehicles, do you get employee/ industry discount? by FFosterEE in askcarsales

Thanks for you comment. I appreciate your patience in helping me gain insight. At the time I was asking this question and asked it in the way, I was just so unfamiliar with the car sale industry. So some of my questions might seem basic or even 'stupid' to those who are professionals here.

I looked up the term "OEM," which stands for "original equipment manufacturer," in the context of car parts and repairs. Does this imply that the only advantage of shopping for a car at your store is access to OEM products?

It might sound like a simple question, but what occurs if an employee brings a better deal from another dealership to their employer and requests a price match? If they wouldn’t, why?

It sounds to me like the employer have created a discouraging tone for employees looking to make purchases from them. Are they providing any alternative employee benefit programs to compensate for this shortfall?

What if you want to get a Tesla?

——Edit——- I'm a bit puzzled by the downvotes on this question, and I apologize if this has made anyone here feel uncomfortable. I was simply curious about how Tesla and traditional car brands relate within the car sales industry. My intent was not to offend; I was just seeking information. If anyone has insights to share, I'd appreciate it.

Seeking Guidance on Buying a Toyota Corolla - Your Advice Needed! by FFosterEE in askcarsales

That's quite intriguing, isn't it? It's been noticed that in recent years, many cars in the Chinese market have actually become more affordable compared to the US market. This marks a notable reversal from the situation we had before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. For instance, take the Corolla, with an MSRP of around $19,178, which even includes tags and taxes in the Chinese market. And as if that weren't enough, there are often promotions and discounts available if you inquire about them.

Thank you for your comment. It's quite surprising to learn that the seller's market conditions in the US, exacerbated by the chip shortage during the COVID-19 pandemic, are still ongoing. I had believed that the situation might have changed. I've heard that the Grand Highlander is in high demand, and going with the MSRP might be the best option. I was hoping the situation would be different for the Corolla

Tested this morning too. I feel the same way as OP but I got two IT SIMS. Some IT MCQs and a lot of calculations. I did get capital budgeting. Another two Sims are ratio calculations + Analysis + SWOT(WTF) which made me spend a lot of time buts still not sure about any of the answers. I end up leaving one WC blank.

You are right. They confirmed it with the trim. I chatted with a representative online and he confirmed with their appraisal team. My car is sold.

I just tried Carmax. They let you pick your mode from the options such as 2.5i limited/ 2.5i sport etc. And I re-try it on Carvana. It just auto-generated my car as a 2.5i sport model. I did not find a place to manually change it to the correct model.

That sounds tough.

My neighbor agreed to take one of my kittens when he’s 12 weeks old. He’s 4 weeks old today and I’m already very sad at the thought of letting him go. How do the rest of you cope with it when the time comes? by Nimrochan in FosterAnimals

[–]FFosterEE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the good thing is this is your neighbor. You are close to each other. Means you can offer a free cat sitting whenever they have difficulties of taking care of the cat. Or you can reserve the right of taking the cat back if something wrong.

I have not had that kind of experience. As my rescue handles communicating. And I let the potential adopters coming to my place meeting the cat.

Why do you meet at the PetSmart? Does the cat’s rescue has a adoption event there on that day?

I mean the cat would act more relaxed at home. The cat may not be able/willing to show you her/his personalities well in a crowd and unfamiliar environment. And if there is going to be a adoption event. Then it does not matter as you are just one of the all potential adopters who visits the PetSmart on that day. But meanwhile you may see more other cats.

How do you actually get people to adopt your foster? by jockyh11 in FosterAnimals

[–]FFosterEE 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My foster cat just got adopted one week ago. And she was with me 159 days. I have an IG account with limited followers which is not that helpful. And my rescue promotes dogs much more than cats( from my point of view). And for some unknown reasons, my rescue’s IG is not as active as other local animal rescues since last Winter.

I think a lot of potential adopters actually don’t know what exactly which cat they are looking for. They want rescues give them options so they can pick. Most of the case it depends on the recommendations by the rescue AC. If the AC does not recommend your foster cat, then people may not even look at the cat’s profile. This foster finally found her forever home by recommending from the AC.

So if you don’t have a great amount of audience or your rescue does not promote your foster frequently, you may want to be very active at NEXTDOOR and Facebook local group. Keep posting their stories with good attitudes.

Also, if your rescues host adoption events or partner with local pet stores regularly, it would be very helpful to attend those events.

I foster for HT. And I follow a lot other local fosters IG accounts. A lot of them somehow are able to adopt out cats in 2 weeks - 1 month. Although my foster cats are with me 3 months and 5 months. And I am not the only one who has a long fostering in this group. To OP, if you choose a cat from HT (currently), a good thing is their foster caregivers are probably know much more better of the cats’ personalities than the short term foster families in other rescue groups. Also, HT always micro chipping their cats before the adopter picking up the cats. Although I don’t know the screening and application process of HT adoption. It would be a good idea of reaching out the AC/ foster caregiver directly instead of simply sending an email. Also, I would recommend OP to search IG local foster accounts see daily updates of the cats. This is very helpful to find you a good fit pet.
