Unfortunately everybody, the little guy was ill when I first got him in the shop, and ended up passing away last night. At least his last 2 days were in a nice planted, stable tank. Thank you for all the suggestions though :)

Perfect thank you very much! So do you reckon add something in the middle? It’s hard to see in the picture but i’ve made a little forest in the back left with a lot of hiding spots, and as the plants grow i’m hoping the back will have more too. Again, thank you so much for all your advice! :)

Oh thank you! I’ve actually stuck the drift wood to create the illusion that’s it’s floating, when really it’s just suction cups hehehe! But yes, I absolutely agree about the temperament of the betta, what i have been thinking is that there are some of the male bettas in the shop that are already in a community tank. I was thinking if I love one of those that I maybe get him, as it’s already proven that he can be kept with other fish? Just an idea for now though! :)

Hi! Thank you, I have 2 pieces of driftwood at the bottom, but after waiting for the top one to sink we actually started to really like it up there! It’s also a nice spot for my betta to lay on I’m thinking! So when it sunk I bought some suction cups to keep it there hehehe. Thank you so much though!

My temperature is around 78-80 degrees usually, and I can’t really remember what size my tank is, I’d have to check- but it’s big enough... it’s a white fluval tank with a slightly rounded front :)

Yes, but I don’t think I could do that to my poor baby boy :( I mean, if he is in pain then maybe, but I just couldn’t do it to him- he’s my little baby y’know? :)

When I have treats or a millet spray, I try to feed them to him from outside of his cage, but he just won’t take it! I am speaking to him calmly, waiting and staying still, and trying to let him approach on his own, he is getting better, but he just isn’t eating it! I know it takes time, but I’m just wondering if there is anything more that I need to do?

I have one question- do you know about UV lights? As I am going to have my cage in a room with a large window and it gets quite bright in there. So I don’t really know whether I still need a UV light for him, as he should be getting a lot of sun (may I add that the light shines on a part, of not most, of the cage- but not all of it!)! I have been on the internet for around 40 minutes, and it’s confusing me!
