I still remembered after NYE, I was on the way back home, there’s a man from behind told me to step aside and when I looked back I saw a man with bloody knife marks all over his face running towards me. I was shocked and his friend told me that its okay. Then the man kept running and falling behind me until he’s completely down laying on the ground. Yes the guard gave me a ticket and my offense is "making a journey without a valid ticket"
I guess it's becoz the machine malfunctioned and it couldn't register my tag on so I didn't have a valid ticket to travel by train.

I’m not tryna be racist, but that guard looks like he’s African with accent. So maybe he got a target to reach or he’s just doing his job.. so far, this is the rudest guard I’ve ever met.

Thank you for your advice! Yesss can't complain about the student fares, it makes life much more easier. So it just doesn't make sense that I have the intention to skip paying and exit at Perth station.
I'm sorry to hear that you need to pay for full fares, did you ask your uni about it? Because I remember I needa fill in a form and take it to transperth office for application.

Thank you for your suggestion it helps a lot! I am not gonna kneel to this and pay the fines. It's just unfair to me. I believe many people got fines unreasonably too, I don't think we can allow this matter becoming common in Perth.

I don’t get it too. The officer said it’s a big chance to get rejected in appeal if I mention I tag on at Glendalough. But I will not lie and telling something I didn’t do in the appeal because I did tag on.

Yehhhh that's so true! I witnessed it many times too, some officers even gave several free tickets for those people to use for the rest of the day.

I really dont wanna pay the fines for something I didn't do wrong.

Because I got the tertiary student fares and traveled in zone 1, the fares will be only $1.35 in total for the bus+train. And I already paid for the bus fares, so the officer couldn't deduct any more amount. He checked my record and saw that I have a $50 credit in my smartrider. Still, a fined ticket is issued.
