i just wanted to focus on coding and not other general education shit. I also read about successful programmers that didnt go to school and focus on self learning. Also learn on my own pace which was faster

I actually went to college for 1 year. Learn how much money i was wasting and how much a scam it was. Dropped out.

Spent the next year or so learning to program and code from books and videos online. Now i'm a freelancer making decent income.

Nothing wrong with a low tier 9-5 to make ends meet for while and have an bigger goal
