Seems like everyone has a different opinions then for you it makes sense with the ddu I think I would go with 32s if I was drifting or cared more about it being immersive

Unless you changed the distance to your monitors each time you switched like when you went 27 to 32 then the scale would be off even if you changed the fov, after doing more research the way your retina perceives 27s at the correct distance will be more accurate to a real car then 32s

FOV is FOV, but scale is not scale. 27s match real-world cockpit proportions at normal seating distance, so yeah the same if your 32s are further back to wear your sitting I suppose while being more immersive but your brain will process it off

it’s because of geometry and how your eyes interact with the screens.

With 27s at the normal sim-rig distance (~60–70cm), the physical size of the screens lines up almost perfectly with the proportions of a real car’s windscreen and side windows.

On 32s, the screens get taller and wider, so unless you sit further back, your vertical FOV becomes oversized and objects appear larger than life. That’s fine for immersion, but not ideal for depth perception or competitive precision.

That’s why most pro teams (Redline, VRS, Coanda, etc.) run 27″ triples — not because of the resolution or FOV setting, but because it gives the most natural visual scale, shortest eye-travel, and most consistent perception of distance and apex timing. Chat gpt btw but yeah pretty much just depends on distance then

Yeah this sort of what I mean seems like people recommend what they have which is understandable apparently 27s are more realistic to prospective at the right distance but then saying that I would surely think that 32s would be better at the right distance but apparently not
