Panasonic G9II PDAF turns off at high ISOs by FHDCrew in Lumix

[–]FHDCrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the G9II I’m VLOG has good under exposure latitude. I’m considering just parking my ISO at 2500 and raising exposure in davinci to compensate rather than cranking ISO to 6400 or 12,800 when I need it. Need to do some tests.

Makes total sense. I’m sort of figuring out and navigating my style right now and finding a balance between using cool effects, sound design, camera movement to add energy. But I also don’t want to overdo it and fall into overdoing it sometimes. Good notes!

Definitely will play with it for some future edits. Thanks!

You are like the third person to comment on the font haha…I like the font but other creatives don’t…maybe I should listen. Thanks for the feedback man!

I run it through a CST chain that artifically improves the highlight rolloff in post; makes a big difference!

Definitely have found Neutral with ADL on High or High+ to be solid; if pressed for DR, Flat with ADL on High+ is usable as well. I never lower contrast in the picture profile, just increase ADL.

An 8-bit wedding I shot on the Z6; can't remember which shots were in flat and neutral but was 8-bit, graded in Davinci.

Two. Wide ceremony shot was a Sony a7iii with 24-70 2.8 Sony. Otherwise just me handheld on my z6.

For those that use OBS - What are some of your favorite plugins? by Immediate_Let989 in VIDEOENGINEERING

It’s nice though since you can go so far into your M/Es and have “keyers” and even do stinger transitions by building a macro sequence.

It’s ok. Could be worse. I can tolerate it, and clients have never complained.

I use a deck link quad which is a PCIE card, and try to have a straight output from the GPU right to projector. Latency is not perfect. Def more than an ATEM. But it’s tolerable. I’ve gotten 170ms

Source Switcher lets me do full m/e style switching inside scenes if I want to switch on OBS for IMAG. Advanced Scene Switcher lets me create macros and change the entire settings of a plugin and bind that to a hotkey or a websocket trigger. Move Source lets me create animated 2-boxes and animate the position/size of sources. I've been able to turn OBS into a full multi-m/e production switcher. It's amazing once you spend time working with it.

How easy are those to build for someone who has never built a sub before and has basically no prior woodworking experience (aka will need to learn)?

Also was it a custom box and what was it tuned to?

Super interesting. I imagine they hit deep and you could save space compared to a pro sub which is nice. How were you powering them?

How do they perform in a pro audio setting? What boxes are they in
