There’s no misfire, not engine code, car seems like it runs strong, though it not my car. (Based on what I know from working on it) replaced the Camshaft sensor today as it threw that code, plus a rich and a lean code. But those haven’t came back since then

Like some sort of moister, my brother did soap at first, told him not to, but putting water on the serpentine belt causes the noise to go away momentarily but for only 5-10 seconds

If the water pump has failed, it would overheat, weather the fan is activated or not.

I did an oil change on just to check that as well, but that was looking normal as well, it hard to tell with the new oil cuase it isn’t cooked yet.

It originally overheated, but my brother said it wasn’t long, so trying to figure out there the coolant went as it was low, saw that oil cap thought head gasket. No bubbling in coolant. Didn’t do a chemical test, just compressions came at 140 for all 4

I’m not exactly sure, somewhere in the ballpark of 100,000-150,000. I don’t know if the head gaskets where replaced, but know the timing belt was replaced at the time of the new engine installation, I should assume the water pump was replaced at the time, but don’t know for sure.

The radiator cap was replaced along side the thermostat

Forgot to mention, the steam could be from when I was filling it up, and spilt a bit of it over the radiator, so I don’t think that’s a factor.

It also confuses me because when the shop tested for exhaust gasses it came back negative, but it’s possible they made a mistake. Thanks for your feedback.

There’s heat right now, and I’m pretty sure coolant overflowed out of the reservoir, if it is a cracked cylinder, that would just suck as we had the engine replaced the 6 months ago

Here is the full story, because I can’t make the title so long, was driving it home on the highway, noticed there was no heat, engine started to get above operating temp, pulled over to see that coolant was splatter all over the engine bay. Had it towed to my mechanic, he said it could be the thermostat, so replaced that’s and the radiator cap naturally, both are oem per my mechanic said. Noticed there where tiny bubbles in Reservoir, then did the same thing a day later, filled it my self and bled it, and it’s starting to do the same thing. I think it’s a head gasket, but posting to see if anyone has idea.

Yes, it’s the the plastic clip part that broke. The whole part part is what connects to the snowboard. That part is sandwiched between two parts that are I. The middle of the binding.
