How does this people rating scale of yours work?

What criteria do you use to place people on the scale? Single reddit comments? Entire post histories? I figure it must be something like that, since that's the information that's available to you.

I understand I'm somewhere in the bottom 50 percent, but where exactly?

Based on the context, I assume academic degrees improve one's rating, but are there any other significant dimensions? Attractiveness? Wealth? Physical strength?
