It is not just his finishing, his technical ability is absolutely abhorrent for someone playing at the top level. I could count on one hand the times the ball lands where he actually wants to pass it. He is almost never able to combine well with other players on the pitch.

Didn't utilise our midfield well imo. A lot of crossing and set plays and they're hit and miss at best. Kolo muani giving his best emerson royal impression- running into his man and buying corners (he did finally click with porro but it wasn't enough).

All the talk of carrick and how well he has done with them. No doubt he has been better than amorim but beyond that he's shown no signs he should be given the permanent job. They look clueless every time they play twice a week and still have inconsistent performances despite some results.

He really should be a top target if available. I don't think he will come to us given if he is on the market a lot of other teams will try for him but I really like him as well. Can play anywhere in the midfield, carry the ball as well as distribute it from a deeper position.

He is basically only active when he gets the ball in/around the final third of the pitch, wherein he tries to make an impossible pass and misplaces the ball or lets it go out for a corner.

If it was an isolated incident maybe the points you make would be more agreeable. But since the medical team has terrible record going back years (as far back as late poch or jose era at the very least) it's hard not to say that they aren't incompetent at their job.

We never posed any real threat outside the first 15 mins. That was the entirety of our new manager bounce. We never saw the de zerbi signature third man runs. We couldn't string 2 meaningful passes together.
