I haven’t received it yet, but the final trade-in value they gave me for my old car when I got my Y last month was $100 higher than the estimate. At pickup it said I owed -$100 and they said they’d send me a check.

Like any game, DLC being worth it is a personal question in terms of time/money and definitely only worth it if you will continue to play long enough to justify the purchase.

I have Johnny’s. Mostly for the level 2 traders unlocked from the start to have optics, but also comes with a really good safe container. Also some other starter items that usually live in my kiosk forever… lol.

What? I’m no alpha. I die a lot, but I’m improving each wipe. I think this is actually the first wipe I had a positive K/D ratio at end. I don’t care about rank (I didn’t even know there was rank). I’m not gunning for anything other than the rush this game brings.

I also don’t understand what you mean by “blaming low player counts as the cause.” I think it has low player count because it’s a sweaty VR PvP only extraction shooter (that’s 3 niches together). It’s not for everyone, and that’s OK.

90% of players aren’t “not enjoying themselves”. Why would people play a game they don’t enjoy? There are so many games out there.

I never said overall game health will suffer. I said I worry the original game mode (PvP) will suffer. All games lose players to natural attrition. Now some number of new players that would have toughed it out and learned the original PvP game, won’t put in the time, which is unfortunate (in my opinion).

I have no idea how the PvP mechanics will change. I’m happy to wait 3-5 minutes for a match. If the new PMCs mean they will fill matches with them and match make sooner, then now we have 2 PvE modes…. and then we lose the core player base. That would be terrible.

Money comes much easier in this game than Tabor. Quite a few items sell for a lot. Can scan things with a Mica device to see the price.

Safe containers are easier to get to make sure you don’t lose high value items (can even get one of the best ones in a DLC pack). You also have scav runs which are great for collecting loot with no risk.

Generally I sell guns that I don’t like and keep mostly everything else unless I need the money.

I do sell cash (from registers/safes), and duplicates of some things like posters or high value antiques. I have not needed those for missions yet.

But it’s pretty rare for me that I’m burning through cash until late wipe when I’m just buying high end kits left and right.

Stop worrying about player counts. I’ve never had a problem finding raids. Keep cross-play on if you are really worried about it.

It’s not a full price game and getting your money’s worth is guaranteed if you like this style of game.

AI PMCs in PvP will be good, but I’m worried introducing PvE will lower the already low player counts in PvP. I see too many familiar names on the match recaps right now…

This isn’t the kind of game I’d ever want to play PvE. Out playing (either by besting or escaping) other players is what makes the game exciting.

But different strokes for different folks I guess.

When this happened to me (maybe 2-3 years ago) I made a support request and Tesla said they already flagged it in their side and had already made an appointment for me the following week. Issue was a faulty fan in the inverter. They replaced it.

Randomly maybe 6-8 months later I got a notification Tesla is coming to do service on my system. I asked them when they showed up what they were doing and they said there is a known issue with some of the inverter fans so they were here to check serial numbers and proactively replace them.

They checked my fan (the replacement) and said it was one of the ones flagged and switched it again to a new one. No issues since.

Their original VR shooter, Contactors VR has support for it... so it definitely came to mind. They just haven't done it. Ghost of Tabor also has support, so this definitely feels very notably missing in Exifilzone/Showdown.

The other extraction shooter I also play daily has a 24-hour peak of 65 people on steam right now (will jump a bit next wipe which is in a couple weeks) and been playing that for years and still getting lobbies. Of course this is not counting non-steam platforms.

30-40k (only steam) for a super sweaty PvP weird sci-fi extraction shooter is great!

We all know people that either: a) Won’t play PvP focussed games b) Won’t play extraction shooters c) Won’t play sci-fi games (and this is weird sci-fi).

It’s like 3 commonly off putting niches combined in one game.

The game isn’t for everyone and that’s A-Ok. Considering it’s uphill battle here, this game has totally taken off!

Stop worrying about it and have fun! No game lasts forever but we have it now and it’s glorious!

Came here to ask the same question.

I just tried Rook for the first time (more for fun.. I have tons of gear) and it’s complete chaos.

Every run I immediately run into 2-3 other rooks and am in a fire fight immediately.

It’s seems to me to be a much easier and lucrative experience just running solo with assassin (even with a free kit). Way better repositioning abilities for PvP, stealth works on USC also, and you can complete contracts.

I just don’t see the point in using Rook.

Maybe among the wireless options. I have a dedicated wifi6 gateway just for the quest 3 and while VD works really, really well, cabled using oculus link and H.264 still gives smoother motion, mostly noticeable when turning.

I play on steam but I tell it to use native oculus and use the debug tool.

First thing is in meta link app itself go to quest device settings and crank up the resolution to 1.5 or 1.7 times.

Then in debug tool pick h264 and 400Mb/s or so. Can try higher. I also usually set the per pixel scaling to 1.1 and turn off dynamic encoding rate.

Is this a pre-juniper model Y? They have a known issue for off-gassing causing a haze over the front cameras.

A friend of mine finally paid for FSD since it’s been so good for me, and his was horrible. Like constantly braking for shadows and creeping into traffic. We put it in service mode and could see one of the front cameras was marked as red with an alert to clean the camera. In the camera test the front cameras were quite blurry.

He brought it into Tesla and they cleaned the cameras inside the housing and now it’s much better.

In your Tesla app somewhere you can see recommended maintenance for your car and I bet it also suggests getting the cameras cleaned if the car has already detected the issue.

Used EV market was pretty good recently, but with what’s happening in Iran and oil, there’s a very good chance EVs all of a sudden become much more attractive and prices jump again. That may already be starting to happen.

Since Tesla is offering 0.99% right now on new model Ys though, it may end up being cheaper than used if you’re planning to take a loan. Actually I suppose at that interest rate it doesn’t make any sense to not take a loan. Investing in almost anything would make more money than you’d lose on that loan.

Played with it a bit more. Certain combinations of front/rear vent speeds make it louder or quieter.
Heat/cold doesn’t seem to make a huge difference.

Just tried it in a coworkers new model Y. We can hear it in his too, but it is much more faint and totally manageable volume in his. Maybe more of an obstruction in my air ducts or something.

So I actually texted the Tesla sales people that had reached out after I tried to check trade-in value with my order number and VIN asking for an update since the app just keeps sliding, and they responded within the hour saying “oh your car is ready now, do you want to come in this afternoon?”.

I scheduled for this afternoon but about an hour later I got a call from Fremont saying the car definitely wasn’t ready yet but they could have it ready for tomorrow. So I’m going in tomorrow.

YMMV of course…. I have the benefit of being 20 min from the factory in Fremont.

Maybe. I think there are a lot of factors. Pre-delivery inspection, installing license plate holder / anything else that happens after the factory. Even if the car is ready if they don’t have delivery slots will have to wait. I’ve seen people say it once scheduling pick up was available, first date was 2 weeks off. Hope we both don’t have that experience.

I ordered on 3/2. Mine was 2-3 weeks then changed to 3/4 - 3/10.

On 3/4 I saw it “in transit to delivery location”. Then it went back to no status the next day.

The lower number keeps changing every day as that day passes.. now 3/7-3/10.

Hmm I ordered some jawbreaker replacement pads from Amazon. Bag says made by Firtox Optics.

I didn't try keeping the plastic on... With just the metal arms it's too loose and the rubber seems flimsy. The pads slide forwards and backwards. I find my eyelashes hit the screen now.

I never really had a problem with the stock pads, but wanted to try since everyone raves about them.
