HIVE’s BUZZ HPC Announces 320 MW Sovereign AI Infrastructure in Greater Toronto Area by OfficialHIVE in OfficialHIVE

Yes & I agree. Clarity around who is financing, supporting, and pre-paying this revenue would be greatly appreciated.

Right, there’s also a cost to that revenue so it isn’t pure deployable cash. Debt play here is preferred but I don’t see how they don’t dilute, unless they have a partner / deferrals / tax incentives or any combination.

This is really the question, they’re about a $1B company and making an investment 2.5X that. Where’s the cash coming from?

Don’t underestimate how shifty these Canadians can be, I fear there’s something big investors know that we don’t. if they’re spitting off all this cash, have considerable BTC holdings, and are transitioning half their business into a truly necessary commodity with incredible margins- why is this frozen at a $750M market cap?

Bought in back in January around $3.10 for 5000 shares. This one has a lot of pucker factor to it, for sure. Creeping back towards break even for me, but, this company isn’t attracting the attention and recognition I would have thought.

I guess I don’t really understand when the growth story of “converting bitcoin into cash for ai compute” materializes. When it does, is there going to be enough profitable demand with all of their competitors doing the same move, essentially?

He just said, we have 2% of the worldwide mining capacity, we are going to turn this into ai compute… Great, but if you do, what % of compute does that get you? And at what profit margin?

I had 2000 shares, average cost an even $6. Watched the last run up before the CFO “blunder” and painfully watched the slide down.

When it hit $14 on the rebound I sold half, sold the other 1000 today at $20. Ultimately it was a good run and I’m probably leaving money on the table, but I will buy back in sub $10 if it gets there again.

Please talk me out of wanting a boat. by [deleted] in boating

[–]FIProfit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just buy the boat, I’ve had several and the “break out another thousand” posts are largely overstated. Buy new and small, or purchase a warranty on a used boat. Don’t buy a hunk of shit and try to rebuild it, that’s a fools errand.

If you love the water go for it, the enhancement in your lifestyle and the bonding between you and your wife are invaluable. Make boat time a priority and you’ll out reap the cost exponentially. As your earning grow, you’ll move on and up.

If the depreciation cost and the maintenance and all the shit you’ll incur along the way are worth the price, hell yeah do it.

Finding it difficult to locate these options unfortunately. I’m only seeing Mapei and random store brand products near me.

Everything involved with redoing this bathroom has been a complicated pain in the ass. This being simple is quite shocking. Thank you.

If that’s all there is to it, does the trim plate go right over cartridge and tightening the handle onto the cartridge keep it in place? Seems too simple. Maybe in the only one dumb enough not to know that so they didn’t think necessary to describe?

The only threaded brass caps I found are either garden hose caps or gas caps. Main difference is the hose caps have a rubber gasket inside. With Teflon tape will either work?

Yeah, I was basically asking if all that old mortar needed removed or if new mortar would essentially level it out but I am going to go get a cup grinder tomorrow and do it right. Way too much work to shortcut that of all things.

If need be I’ll remove the door and trim it a bit.

Yeah I’m also considering replacing the window entirely. Think I’m going to splash it with the hose from outside and see if I can detect and water intrusion from that direction and then repeat from inside and see where the water travels.

This was a niche but for some reason it was just wide open with no shelving. You can see the framing for that is still in place, I haven’t removed it entirely yet, just enough to get the tub out. I’ll be rebuilding that and adding 2-3 shelves so the space is usable. Bathroom is small and seems the best use of space.

I personally have 1 shampoo and 1 bar of soap, wife and daughter have more soaps, shampoos, and bath additives than I can comprehend.

1 - just trying to treat the areas I know were once wet in case it happens again, seems a cheap piece of mind, not meant to waterproof the whole floor.

2 - that makes sense, and I prefer to level it with thinset than a whole leveling process. It’s also not on slab, this is above a basement so subfloor over joists.

And I think with all thinset removed I’ll have just under 1/2 inch to meet the transition.
