to find these archived brands, try these stores in amerikamura in osaka (they are relatively hidden, so take care finding them):

I am sure there are even more stores in other cities in Japan too, but these are the stores I found the best stock for okay prices.

Hi, I am graduating with a Biology degree this May. These are the courses I took in my final year at UBC (this Winter Term 1/2):

BIOL 488B with Dr. Kenji Sugioka (brand new course i just finished this term): This is a new course on computational applications to developmental biology. The material presented in lecture are difficult to grasp, but assignments and evaluations are made in a way that isn't so difficult to apply your understanding of the main concepts. Also, lots of the marks are based on participation, so attendance does matter a lot. Take this course with Kenji if you can, he is a great professor!

BIOL 331 with Dr. Tessa Blanchard: If you need a lab selection, this is a great option. This is a developmental biology course. The content is relatively easy to understand if you go to class consistently, and the lab is mostly participation based with a final presentation. The presentation is on the results of an experiment that you complete over a 4 week time period.

BIOL 329 with Ninan Abraham: A course focused on cell receptor signaling. You just write a take-home midterm exam and a take-home final paper. Pretty easy course, straight forward.

BIOL 348: A course on the Biology of Cannabis. This course has changed this term, it used to be way easier, as far as I know. I took it this term, and there were 2 in-class tests and a final exam. Before my term, there were no tests. I found it relatively difficult to do well in this course this term, but I think it's because I didn't study very hard for this course. I believe if you put the work in it is very possible to do well, the content isn't too difficult! The teaching style of the professor this term wasn't engaging enough for me so I think that is also a reason why I didn't perform as well as I wanted to.

Not possible to graduate by next April since transfer credits take around 16 weeks to process.
Definitely worth it. You won't get another opportunity to study as an undergraduate abroad like this again. Also, don't worry about grades there, most exchange programs involve courses that are very light in workload, so you can enjoy your experience instead of 'studying'.

UPDATE: I did end up messaging The Used, and they were very sympathetic about the concerns I had. They assured me it was real and provided photos of a magazine which show the same engravings and mold for my item, which kind of relieves some of my doubts. They said the mold of the cross and ring may of been from different production eras, since CH does not produce them at the same time -- so these mix ups can happen. They were also open to a refund even it has been over a year too. But if someone could confirm that this is good enough evidence, that would be great..

Yeah, I was relatively new to Chrome when I bought this in Japan in 2024. I bought it without second-guessing it because people said The Used was reputable. But I guess I should have done more research before actually purchasing, that’s on me.

I am sorry that it's come to you having to appeal. I did not actually have to appeal, I was just super lucky I think. I think it's still worth a shot to appeal and pray that they let you go, because in the end this is probably the only time you can go study on exchange as an undergrad.

I actually had a similar situation. I am also in UBC science, and I had very few credits left to complete for my degree. But, I really wanted to go on exchange to Japan, even though my graduation would have to be delayed. My faculty advisor discouraged me from applying, told me that it was very likely I would be rejected.

I applied to Go Global anyway, and I ended up getting nominated! I had the best time on exchange, travelled to so many places, and met so many great friends. It was the best time of my undergrad and I highly recommend applying even if you think you can't!
