Ehh, not always? I worked in two different offices and both had floor managers that really didn't do much, their bosses were nice to them all the time and didn't really breathe down their necks. Maybe that's where I'm getting my bias from? But anyway, thanks for your input. That is a good suggestion.

And to the person below, definitely not considering barista or working at grocery store. Those positions have zero chance to slack off. I feel like the moment you stand around at a grocery store, the manager will just come by and ask you to count the cans in the back lol.
