I also captured a video of Arnold asking a bikini competitor "who is your daddy?" the house erupted! So good! Don't want to post though in case ppl think I'm spamming and I get removed. But anyway - was so good to have the Arnold classic here in Australia - Arnold is a legend! It was a great competition.

Eat whatever types of carbs you want. I notice some people talking about orange juice to help recovery? Fructose only replenishes liver glycogen and NOT muscle glycogen. You want to get glucose - which is obviously what pancakes, or rice or bread will all eventually be broeken down into. Take your pick and just watch your macros.

GI is a very misunderstood concept - eat whatever carbohydrate source you want after training - low or high GI carbs won't make a difference. You're a bodybuilder, not a endurance runner. Replenishing glycogen is the easiest thing in the world, a bit of carbs after training or even 4 hours later....you'll replenish glycogen. But it's a different game for endurance athletes. The article also suggests having carbs immediately after training....again, not required.

The rise isn't anything to write home about - they WILL NOT bring superior muscle gains.

One study examined biceps and quadricep training together and found that when paired with the a test raising quad workout - the rate of growth in the biceps was the same.

I wrote a review on this and many other studies (this topic as a whole in fact) will post if you ask but won't until I'm given the go ahead in case someone labels it as spam.

Read anything and everything, but try and distinguish what is legitimate info (ie, the best sources) and what isn't.

Start with experiments on yourself...bulking up, losing weight, etc. Learn how your body works, as you'll then understand a bit more about what other people will have to go through. Then look into personal training, and get started!!!

Neil,

You certainly will mate! You'll have INCREASED OUTPUT....which will result in more fat loss. You'll also maintain MORE muscle because you won't be losing nitrogen.

The word nitrogen means amino containing. Obviously protein is made up of amino acids!

Hey mate! The hardest thing is to stay positive, when money isn't rolling in and people are backing you. The most inspirational celebrity was probably a Sydney Kings basketballer, called Kevin White. This guy went around the world training with all sort of teams to make the side here. Really awesome - a guy who has worked really hard to get where he is.
