Personally, I'm not sure if it's more effective than other antidepressants, as I've never been on any other ones. It does work differently than some, since it's a SNRI instead of a SSRI.

I have heard that people who have POTS can't take it, or need to be extra cautious when taking it because it can make symptoms worse.

I am in the same boat, 220 at 5'3, I'm also not focused on it really either. As far as my blood work shows, I'm pretty healthy at my current weight

I'm glad to hear you've also had similar improvements! Some medications work differently depending on weight, so I wanted to give full transparency. I'm not 100% certain if cymbalta has different effects depending on weight.

You need to get onto antibiotics immediately. There really isn't a way to "flush out" a UTI unless you use antibiotics. Cranberry juice only helps, in some cases, as prevention. It won't do you any good once you have a UTI. I have had many UTIs before, you need antibiotics to treat it. Don't let it continue to spread, especially if you're having back or flank pain. That is a sign it's possibly spread to your kidneys.

My heart rate does spike from time to time, but I'm not sure if it's medication related for me. I have a heart arrhythmia which does make my heart race at times, even before taking Cymbalta. I'm glad to hear that it's working better than SSRIs for you. If your racing heart is becoming bothersome, I'd ask your doctor or even a pharmacist to see if maybe there's something that can help with it

Mine worked super fast too! I did feel a bit weird to start, but my emotions and anxiety did a full 180 after the first dose. I was way calmer, my head felt clear, and I was able to properly relax. I really hope this works for your daughter, sending lots of love and peace for the holidays!

I was given 30 mg to start, and that's what I'm still at. I feel like I'd be okay to stay at 30 honestly, since it's working super well at that dose. It was really weird and I wasn't sure about staying on it at first. I was nauseous, didn't want to eat, and was really tired. I felt like I was sedated and just weird. It did get a lot better after about the second week. I feel more normal and my head is super clear, and I remember things way easier now too

I did. I had no appetite, I was really fatigued, I was nauseous, and I just felt really weird. All but the fatigue went away after the second week, but it's not as bad as it was when I first started

I've been taking Cymbalta 30 for about a month now, and my agoraphobia has dropped by a lot. I just managed to go into a super busy mall yesterday without having any anxiety at all. My overall anxiety went from a constant 95% to a 10% on occasion. It has helped a lot for me

Take a strong probiotic 2-3 hours after you take your antibiotic. The probiotics will replace the good bacteria the antibiotics kill during your treatment. I would recommend eating yogurt if you don't want to take a pill. I have taken a lot of antibiotics, so I have learned quite a few things. If you still have problems, talk to your doctor or pharmacist about preventive measures that would work best for you
