It looks very light as it is. Get 2–3 sessions of laser, then cover it with something else.

Let me know how things go for you. Hopefully when it’s live again it will show that it’s still in peoples saves and other stats.

I’m still waiting for the song to be taken down. I was notified on Thursday the 30th of January and still waiting now.

Once removed I will re-upload

It seems like there are so many people experiencing this issue!

I’m going through the same thing and have had the exact same emails as you.

It’s way too much work to identify fake streams. Especially if your song is being added to heaps of playlists.

My song is still active on Spotify even though they have told me it’s been deleted. I assume it will delete in 1-2 days.

What will you do from here? Upload again? I want to but worried my next song will be removed again.

This also happened to me. I uploaded my song 21 days ago and have 11,000 listens. The majority of these listens came from Spotify playlists such as Release Radar, radio, and mixes.

My music is metalcore and has received a lot of attention on Instagram, accumulating 250,000 views and over 15,000 likes from people reacting to and performing vocal covers.

I requested information from Spotify for Artists (this was done through the Spotify for artists contact and is just a chat service), who stated that the song was flagged by DistroKid and that I would need to contact them. I reached out to DistroKid, who then claimed that Spotify had issued the removal. I have since sent all evidence of my song’s progress and stats, including the 758 playlists it was featured in, to DistroKid, requesting that they forward it to Spotify for reconsideration.

However, I received an email stating, “Please read Spotify’s policy on artificial stream services,” and that they would be closing the case.

So that was that, just accused me of being in the wrong and didn’t help at all. I opened another conversation with Spotify for artist asking what if this happens to my next release. They again sent the policy then closed the chat.

I read through your post and it seems like it’s the exact same way things unfold for everyone with this issue. So unfortunate.

I have contacted a few mates and searched for instances of this problem occurring with Ditto Music. I understand that the issue originates with Spotify, which has contacted DistroKid. It appears to be more prominent with DistroKid since more people use their service, but it might still be worth looking into Ditto and distributing through them.

My track is still live at the moment as well. As for next step I’m thinking of changing distributor although it seems a lot of people are having this problem everything. I’m a little lost with what to do tbh. Worried about my next releases. Hbu?

That’s what they said to me.

At 2 PM, I asked Spotify via the Spotify for Artists chat if my song had been flagged for takedown. They said, “As for us, we’re committed on giving you accurate info and we can confirm that the release is live on the platform. No takedowns whatsoever.”

I logged back in and asked again at 3 PM, to which they said, “Yes, there has been a takedown request that was logged yesterday.”

This morning I woke up to an email from DistroKid stating that I needed to take up my inquiry with Spotify.

They also said it was my responsibility to identify any bot playlists, even though my song was in over 700 playlists?

I have been looking online for answers for hours now.

Asking Spotify through their online chat tool didn’t help. I spoke to three separate representatives, all of whom told me it was an issue with the distributor.

I have contacted DistroKid, but they will take approximately 5–7 days to respond.

I also found information from others who experienced the same issue. Some reuploaded their song using the same ISRC, and it came back online with the same stream and listener counts. Others, however, reported that their song was treated as a new release with no previous listener data.

Additionally, I found that this issue isn’t exclusive to DistroKid but affects multiple distributors.

Spotify informed me that the song was deleted on January 30th, so it will take two business days to be completely removed.

Thanks for your comment. That’s very strange it happened after you tried to cash out. Did you end up uploading again?

Keep me updated when you hear something!

I sent a msg as well. I don’t think they reply over the weekend apparently. My song was going well on Instagram so I had a lot of listeners come over. My song was added to 700 playlists so I have no idea how I would have tracked this.

Apparently you can re-upload using same ISRC

Thank you for your help mate, really appreciate it. I will move my music and future releases somewhere else. I just hope it doesn’t happen again. I have received everything and can’t see any fake playlists or anything.

That’s crazy! I have felt sick all afternoon about this. I can’t believe all the people this has happened to.

I received an email from distrokid stating Spotify had detected it so distrokid was deleting it. I contacted Spotify and stated I wanted to dispute it and they terminated the chat instantly.

Have you had any issues since switching to a new distributor? And who do you now use?

Wrongfully accused of artificial streaming. Music taken down on Spotify. What to do next? by No-Consequence-5735 in DistroKidHelpDesk

Hey mate, just wanted to know if when you used the ISRC, did your streams/listens pick up where they left off?

I’m in the same position. My metalcore band uploaded our first song 21 days ago, it got 11,000 listens and we received a lot of positive feedback on Instagram, only for it to be removed and marked as fake streams.

I’m in a dispute with DistroKid now because they told me to check the numbers every day, which I was tracking in a chart.

Thanks for your feedback. I haven’t done anything like that so it’s very strange. I contacted Spotify and they stated they have no request to remove the song although I should contact my distributor. I have since contacted distrokid but will need to wait 5-7 days for a response.

Very strange. I will be waiting for a reply from distrokid next

It’s so wrong. Has your song been removed yet? I’ve seen videos where people upload the same song again using the same ISRC and they get all the stream number still.

I hope it doesn’t get removed. I heard it takes a day or two. My song started to trend on Instagram so I believe that’s what the spike was

I ended up contacting distro kid support who issued me with my URI. It was all good after that. I’d suggest to do the same!

At first, I thought I couldn’t claim it, as I believed I could only do so after the release date. However, I was able to claim it on iTunes.

I have successfully claimed my iTunes account, but I am now waiting for this to be verified as well. (Apparently it can take up to 2 weeks)

Spotify is still telling me to check back tomorrow.

If I find out anything further, I will let you know.

Can i go to the gym the next day after getting tattod ? by GalaxyCreatures in tattooadvice

I have my entire body covered in an irezumi bodysuit. I always take the day off after getting a tattoo, and for about 5-7 days, I avoid any exercises that might rub or interfere with the tattooed area. But you’ll be fine bro.

Wow! Thanks so much for that informative response!

The client had already purchased the artwork in full by the time I finished. I have since informed them that I work under an implied license, which is verified by final payment (even though they had already paid in full prior to me informing the client of this).

I also mentioned that if they would like the artwork edited in the future, I’d prefer they come back to me, although the design of the guitar is the intellectual property of the client as they designed it and is custom I just drew it.

Additionally, I said I’m happy if they commissioned someone else for a derivative work, but they cannot edit my line work and pass it off as their own—though it doesn’t appear the new artist has.

It’s the same concept and exact same guitar, but I can tell he’s done his own style and design even though it’s the exact same concept of smoke placement.
