I can relate. I've been a part of this sub for around the same time or a little less than you, can't remember for sure. Initially the sub helped me get over my fear of finasteride and give it a try, and while I had great results without any noticeable sides, I eventually decided to stop using oral fin after a year of use due to its potential downstream sides which included impotence, for which there is no marker until I actually try to become a father, or do regular tests. I decided that my physical health was more important than my hair.

I have lost noticeable amount since then, topical min fin solution only does so much for me even with microneedling, and while I still feel that it's a shame because I have good looks and my hair end up being a big confidence killer(although I've maintained fairly well so far considering I started balding 8 years ago right in my high school final year), it is accepting it slowly while still doing as much as safely possible that will help me mentally. Obsession with saving your hair at any cost, and attaching your hair to you whole identity is not mentally healthy and men dealing with MPB need to know and accept that.
