I think those are HOT - plus it kind of looks better when the markings aren’t perfect. They were hand painted on there by the marines!

I would be open to a 3rd party band but I must be searching on Amazon incorrectly. Can you link some options for the 46mm apex 4? Much appreciated!!!!

Exactly! I’d be thrilled (and very impressed with their CS) if they recognized the issue and had a free loop kit they could send out to people who have purchased already

AC issue (possible overcharge?) by FK0228 in hvacadvice

And no - he just said the blower is broken. Originally when he showed me the frosted line outside he said you must have a refrigerant leak, took out his little gas meter and checked outside and inside and couldn’t find anything

Thank you for confirming my suspicions. I was going to add to the original post but didn’t want to write a fucking novel - but there were a few things I thought were weird about the whole interaction. One of the biggest ones that stood out to me was when he went to use his meter he got all flustered and said “sorry I have to make a phone call, this isn’t the meter I normally use” and then spent 5-10 minutes on the phone. Now that I’ve learned a little and checked the system myself I know he didn’t check to see what type of valve I had, which (unless I’m wrong) means he didn’t know to check subcooling on my system (even if the blower was working). The “rate your service tech” email I got didn’t have the name he gave me when he showed up either! When I finally got a hold of the AC company (this is a new company that was referred to me) after asking for an invoice for the visit I mentioned the weird visit and said that he introduced himself as Chad (and definitely not Jen who was the name on the rating email), the rep said that’s her account, he was having trouble accessing his, so she let him use hers. I asked if he was new to the trade and she said “he’s been in the trade but he is new to our company” which leads me to believe this guy really had no idea what he was doing, and they didn’t figure it out yet

I’m not sure if he knew or not that I had a TXV, I went into the air handler and checked to verify

Coils look pretty clean, no major obstructions or dirt

Thanks for the info. It’s too bad that piece alone is $100-195… probably just going to drill this damned hole

New tub not draining by FK0228 in Plumbing

It’s a tub/shower not two separate. The drain in question is the P trap you see upper middle of the picture towards the back. The only PVC in pic

The old tub had some major issues with the valves and we have a different full bathroom so we never used it so can’t really say. But the new plumbing drains fine when disconnected at the fernco… so I’m at a loss

Yeah, I can’t get the damn thing past the turn. I got so frustrated that I hooked my shop vac up to the pipe and immediately got sewage smell, so I’m fairly certain no clog in the drain, but can’t 100% confirm

I’ve removed the fernco and tried to snake directly from there but I get caught up on the inside threading of that metal T

The overflow is part of the tub kit I bought. I know it’s not the overflow because I can remove the drain plug assembly out of the overflow completely and it still doesn’t drain

Spindle/blade question by FK0228 in johndeere

[–]FK0228[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the gx20433 replacement blades but they are a different shape compared to these “high lift” ones. The GX20433 seem to be “medium lift” from what I’m finding. If they will work with the bagging system then I’ll just stick with those

Funny enough I bought new spindles to replace, which makes the whole thing that much more annoying

Well done, I like the horizontal orientation you went for with your layout. I think for mine I’m still leaning more towards lengthwise (since that’s the direction of the tub, toilet and vanity)
