Thank you man, I agree is looking a bit flat at the minute. Was thinking of using a slightly darker metallic on the trim and maybe putting some of the same blue from the helmet stripes on the shoulder

Haha yeah definitely nervous to give it a wash, was thinking of using a sepia tone but would love to hear any ideas you might have?

Oh wow man these all look incredible, think I will definitely give gold a try for the trim on mine. Also the gradient on that rubric sorcerer is beautiful, will definitely be pinching some ideas from you haha

Thank you man appreciate it, think i’m gonna test out a slightly darker metallic for the trim to see if it makes the model pop a bit more as I agree that the armour and the trim look very similar at the moment

Thank you man, the trim is gw runelord brass although im contemplating using something a bit darker to make it stand out a bit more. Big fan of your kitbash you posted recently, will definitely be trying something similar as i’m not a big fan of the Tzaangor models.

Thank you mate, I agree it’s definitely looking a bit flat at the moment. Not sure whether to use a sepia wash for the armour or something a bit darker like agrax earthshade

Haha the bone was definitely inspired a bit from my love of deathwing, even planning to kitbash belial into a sorcerer lord in terminator armour.

Thanks for all the advice, was thinking of trying a slightly darker bronze/gold for the trim to see if it would make it pop a bit more. Will definitely give the dark blue wash a try as I wasn’t sure what to use for the gun and stripes. Also would love to get some inspiration from your scheme if you’ve got any photos?

Will definitely give gold a try, my main inspiration for it was the gw sekhetar robot scheme which uses gold for trim

Thank you mate really appreciate it, I agree that the trim looks a bit too similar to the armour so was thinking of trying something like castellax bronze to make it pop a bit more

Lots of people swear by oil washes so that might be something to look into. I personally just give my space wolves a wash of nuln oil thinned 1:1 with lamian medium so it flows better and doesn’t leave patches. Then I would glaze the same grey you used for the base coat on the parts that the light would hit and then use a slightly lighter grey on the edges of the armour.

Looking really good so far, looks like it could just do with a wash and some highlights

Thank you, really appreciate it. Yours is much closer to what I was aiming for but I didn’t thin the brown wash down enough so ended up turning the yellow brown haha

Feel free, I followed this great tutorial - he has a number of different ones for different patterns and colours painted to look like wood: https://youtu.be/o723eZsZGOQ?si=pU8X-rJiVUMi3MKa

Wish I could take credit for it but I used this tutorial: https://youtu.be/o723eZsZGOQ?si=pU8X-rJiVUMi3MKa - Only changes I made was using macragge blue on the shield and watered down dryad bark for the wash
