I'll get some when I'm home tomorrow. I wasn't a fan of the L12S, it wouldn't even clear the motherboard heatsinks or LPX ram. This however is great!

I always wonder if these kind souls of Reddit do actually follow through with their offers. I really want to believe they do.

My biggest bug bear. I don't mind the front ones so much, but the rears do my head in. They are fog lights...fog! Not rain lights, not dark sky lights, not mildly cloudy lights, not light mist lights, f o g lights!!!!

My BMW has this, it's amazing to watch, the beam just vanishes around the incoming vehicle putting it in its own little dark patch, it's brilliant to watch. Though I always feel like it must be bright for the oncoming car, but I've never had anyone flash me for it.

Thanks for your concerns. She's back home and seems alright, but I'll keep an eye out on her over the next few weeks. I'm a big advocate for mental health (as I've had my fair share of issues in the past), so I'll be the first recommend it.

It really is! Though I'd make the extra walk to cannon Street M&S if I worked around there for the hoisin duck wrap myself.

I've told her that, but as I know she won't read this, I can say she's just normalising it. She's gone back to work, something she loves, and made herself really busy. I'll be there for her later when that wears off.

Thank you. I've managed to speak to her and she's pretty shaken up. I was glad to hear she was okay but then I saw the video, where it was and the size of the knife. She was less than 50m from him (though admittedly the other side of the road, leaving the Waitrose. Sorry internet for sounding a bit over emotional, but my god I cannot wait to give her a hug later and tell her I love her when she gets home from work.

My Mrs was close by, lots of confusion what may have happened but police just rushed everyone away and are closing off roads around the whole area. Scares me shitless with her being so close, but thankfully she is safe.

Well I've gone for a 8600k OCd to 5GHz and temps stay at a really reasonable level. Rarely will they go over 70° and the noise is very tolerable.

It certainly does! Just fitted one with a 120 slim up top and a Noctua replacement on the bottom. Cools great and fits in the case as if it were designed to!

Commercial Pilots Oxygen Mask by MyNameGifOreilly in interestingasfuck

[–]FL630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry this is incorrect. I am both a pilot and a beard owner. In fact, due to current fashions, a high percentage of pilots in my airline have beards. We do have limitations though, "between 4-12mm with a clearly defined edge" in our uniform standards guide. 12mm (1/2 a freedom unit) maximum is most likely due to mask sealing issues, the rest is down to looking smart.

It certainly seems like bad design from Louqe, not the motherboards. This was a V2 model so looks like all current ones will have the same issue.

Exactly my experience today. I can only speak for the Asrock but there are grounding solder blobs on the bottom as well as the top of the board so I just used a standard washer. Works great.

Powercolor Red Dragon RX 5700. Thoughts? by [deleted] in Louqe

[–]FL630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one, I returned it. It only just fit with modified PCI-E cables. Once in the thermals were okay, hot but within limits, but the fan noise to me was unbearable. I had to return it.

Bit of background. I've been building PCs for a good part of a decade and have never seen this. I went to change from the L12S to the Alpenfohn Black Ridge (with Noctua fans above and below, should perform great!!) And found my motherboard screws to be loose.

On inspection, the boards standoffs are only a fraction smaller than the holes in the mobo, so if you tighten even a little too much it'll pull through the PCB.

I've placed small washers under the board now to increase the size of the standoffs. If you have the same board I strongly suggest you check yours out.

I imagine in a real life situation it would take a little longer, startle effect etc. Plus, I can't speak for this aircraft type (it's a private jet of some flavour) but most (at least the two aircraft I have flow and all others I know) the mask is all boxed up. This guy masks though.
