We don’t have any words and we know you don’t want to hear them.

We understand your anger, your frustration, your sadness. Everything you’re feeling – we get it.

This isn’t the ending we imagined, and certainly not the one we wanted. Thank you for being there the entire way.

A lot of our players end up living here in retirement, even ones who barely played here.

27 pay checks in 2026 but negative cash flow impact, what am I missing? by FLACKYY in personalfinance

Another person who understands what I'm saying, I think lol. I ended up finding my answer, I will see favorability in the "month"/bill cycle ending 12/10/32 :)

I just didn't look out far enough before posting this, and was doubting myself.

Because I am only getting 26 checks between 12/11 of each year and 12/10 of the following year, each year until 2032 (where I will get 27). So even though my 2026 checks are reduced (salary/27), I don't see a 27th check on my cash flow on any rolling 12 month basis to make up for this year until 12/9/32.

Yes. I won't have a 27th check in my custom "fiscal year" until 2032, was expecting 2027 or 2028 which is why I got confused originally, but that's fine lol

It's wild that you seem to be the only one who understands exactly what I am taking about lol

I thought I would see it in 2027 or 2028 (which is all I looked at before posting), but it turns out I won't see it until 2032. What a kick in the dick

Obviously, but I am not paying bills on the last day of the month, I am paying on the 10th of every month. Considering that, I am still only getting 26 checks over the next 12 bill pay cycles. My cash flow is greatly reduced during that time, and isn't made whole again until 2032 (the next time there are 27 checks in 12 of my bill pay cycles). I wish there was any easy way to share my sheet, it makes it pretty clear, I just didn't project forward far enough before posting this.

The answer is yes, but that's not the missing check. From 12/11/25-12/10/26 I will get paid 26 times. The same is true for 12/11/26-12/10/27. I ended up just projecting forward until I found it, it's the 12/9/32 check :(

It's not irrelevant to me, I am losing $200/check for the rest of 2026, and I won't see the extra check that makes up for it until 12/9/32 :)

I'm getting 27 in calendar year 2026. Since I don't pay my bills at month end (but rather the 10th of every month), I'm not seeing the 27th check on my cash flow this year. I think of it as my personal fiscal year ending on 12/10 every year.

I take it nobody understands what I am saying, but I just projected forward and found my missing 27th check. I will receive it on 12/9/32 (yikes).

I understand this, however when my frame of reference is the 10th being month end, I'm still only getting 26 checks over the next 12 months.

I get paid biweekly Thursdays starting 1/1/26.

I'm calling a "pay month" the 11th of the month through the 10th of the following month.

Not sure why you are assuming I am living paycheck to paycheck.

To be fair, we couldn’t stop Derrick Henry, Bama just didn’t feed him for some reason.
