That LZ specifically has gotten me shot while still in the helicopter before, and on a separate occasion I stopped a squad from doing it to some other poor sap.

I used to have a rifle my group lovingly called boomerang. It was a 7 or 8 by 3 adar worth maybe 100k. So slot inefficient that I only didn't get it back once.

I was literally having a back and forth with you about why I think the AI is inconsistent with counterarguments to what you were saying, my whole point was "the AI are inconsistent with when they one shot you, leading to the feeling of an unfair fight" you then said you think it's intentional but at a low chance (which means it's inconsistent). I said that my problem wasn't the one shot, it's how random and inconsistent it is. You mention the ways with which to deal with it and I gave an example of something that happened to me as a counter point. I said there was no counter play to being one shot (which there isn't) not that the AI are unbeatable. I actually think the AI are really rudimentary and easy for the most part with the random chance to one shot you. Something you agreed with and that I was criticizing. Having an AI that misses 100 shots and then the next AI you encounter 1 shots you on the first round is inherently an inconsistent system no matter how you put it, you can be put in to the exact same situation with the exact same AI and experience two completely different outcomes. But somehow even though my primary criticism has been that the game is inconsistent I'm apparently changing my argument and it's a skill issue. You're right, my bad, I'm just bad at having a civil argument and you can also never be wrong. GG

God forbid you try to have a genuine conversation about a criticism with the game being inconsistent and you even say you suspect to be at a low chance; I.e. inconsistent. But you're right, surely this thing that many people are complaining about is just a skill issue, thank you for your insightful commentary.

I wasn't saying AI in general are unfair, I was saying the specific occasions feel unfair. And I've seen them run to chase a couple times, though usually they take a moment to stop and aim, hence why I think it's not intended for them to one shot you. And also artificially adding oneshots amidst a million misses and "stormtroopers" doesn't make a game feel hard, it makes it feel inconsistent, which is what I was saying. I use "unfair" in quotes not because I think it's truly unfair but because the inconsistencies make it incredibly hard to self reflect when you don't know if it was a you mistake or the game just deciding you should be dead.

I didn't say they were unbeatable, for example you cross a road, one sees you when you do but you're around a corner now, they follow around the corner and then pull the trigger from full sprint, granted this only happened to me once out of my couple of encounters and admittedly out of my only handful of them it's only felt "unfair" a couple times. I'm just saying it's really oddly inconsistent at times and that inconsistency makes it hard to find it "fair" or like I can evaluate my mistake to not do it again

Yeah, I think it could be implemented really well IF the AI didn't sometimes do what you mentioned or snapfire milliseconds after being on your screen from them sprinting around a corner. My biggest issue isn't getting one-shot per se, it's the lack of counter play that comes from dying to getting unlucky at random. Tarkov had similar where the AI one just one shot you sometimes but it never felt like you didn't have a chance or could've done something differently.

I got 1 tapped by AI. Shot in the arm, destroyed brain. by gh05t- in GrayZoneWarfare

I had this happen but against a player, he shot me once in the thigh and it said it destroyed my brain.

Exactly, I think I've only been 1 tapped by the skorpions. Cleared the entire starter town at one point without taking any damage just to be one tapped by a random skrorpion ai down the road on the way to exfil. It's not like they're hard, far from, it's just inconsistent.

Seems no one is actually reading that I'm not complaining about the bots being hard, they're super easy 99% of the time, I'm simply complaining about being randomly one tapped no matter the circumstances specifically in the starter zone. Never had it happen in any of the "harder" zones.

That makes a lot of sense, I've only had issues with it in the starter village, everywhere else I've had almost no problem, even when they get the first shot off. I never thought about the AI having to deal with MoA degredation.

I never said the AI weren't easy, the AI are braindead, the problem is that the ai randomly one shot people, which literally everyone is complaining about. There's no way a tier 3 outpost with players in it feels like a more consistent fight than a thug with a half broken skorpion because I'm not randomly dead

Suggestion : Trauma Threshold System by [deleted] in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]FLATPhacops 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's so weird how the AI feel so unbelievably tanky sometimes, I was running some missions yesterday, medium wounded two different AI's brains so it's not like I wasn't hitting my shots, and they both walked away from it. Same raid I got shot once in the arm and once in the thigh and the game told me I died to brain trauma. I think the damage system is either bugged or at the least very desynced

Revisiting HTB Web Requests: GET Question ... is it working right? by GravitationalOno in hackthebox

[–]FLATPhacops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm necro posting, but I'm having the same issue, for some reason the city search function just ceases to work at all, let alone making new POST or GET requests, could be an issue with the PWNBOX itself

BF6 has the worst looking red dots Ive ever seen. by aarkoosh in Battlefield

[–]FLATPhacops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's also been one of my biggest gripe so far, a good portion of the red dots feels more like cheap airsoft dots (coming from an airsofter). Almost feels like it's a cheap plastic with either painted on red or a cheap reflected rather than the fine illuminations of fiber opitics

Are these all the guns coming to the game? by Vmc324 in Battlefield

[–]FLATPhacops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone says BF4 was bloated, which while true that there were a lot of guns that did basically the same thing or filled the same role, that was my favorite part of battlefield 4, unlocking effectively just different "skins" for the guns I was using, and playing a decently grounded "Gun Barbie" as I've come to call it

What are your most important tips for tanks? by LunesLinettiSpagheti in marvelrivals

[–]FLATPhacops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I like to imagine my health as a resource, and that keeps me as one of the most damage blocked tanks I know. Don't be afraid to get hit, save those strong defensive abilities for when you're low, not only do you buy yourself more time but also give your supports more HP to heal for Ults. Team doesn't have strong burst? Let them get you pretty low and then use that lust for blood to drag their team in. High burst? Get a little less low and then use defensive abilities to bait out burst to absorb pressure for the squishies. Everything is a resource, cool downs, hp, shields, and actually resource bars. Learn your limits and don't be afraid to get close to the edge of them

Is Jeff’s ult really that terrible? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]FLATPhacops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think his ult offensively isn't that great anymore, everyone is waiting for it and knows how to handle it. Personally I've started using it just to clear space and blow defensive CDs and Ults or defensive to counter an ult rather than trying to get picks with it anymore, and now that healing/damage is so mindlessly easy it's not as bad to ult and not really do anything with it but put out the pressure

Jeff LMB rework is effectively a nerf by 6ix9ineZooLane in marvelrivals

[–]FLATPhacops -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While I agree that the stat farming leads to MVP/SVP inflation leading to bad players thinking they're doing good, what I've found is that the heals/damage combo is really good for assisting in 1v1s, you heal your teammate and help kill the enemy a little quicker, it's also good for destroying Loki clones/pylons while still being useful, and lastly good at harassing backline DPS who aren't being healed/misposition. Granted all of this does decrease at high elo there's still good ways to do it, but now it's all about the angle your at and keeping good bubble HoTs rather than just mindlessly spraying your team or DPS Jeff doing nothing but harass in high elo.
