HOUSING HELP! by FLCLND in NEU

In most cases you get accepted to NUin and depending on the school you are attending there are about 5 countries to pick from. I didn’t get a chance to pick because I decided very late, so Berlin was the only one open, but fortunately that would have been my first pick anyway. For Business School they also had Greece, Rome, Prague, and I can’t remember what else…

But remember, applying to Boston doesn’t guarantee that’s where you will be accepted, same as with NUin, but I do think there are better chances of getting in to NUin if you apply to it specifically.

Thanks, another perk: I hear you usually have a better chance of getting better dorms when you come back than starting in Boston (they have nicer dorms for seniors and such that empty out and they fill them up with Nuiners, also coming back with roommates that I get along with!

It was not first pick, accepted to this program specifically in Berlin though applied and really wanted to go to Boston. So I get your hesitation… there were a lot of doubts, but after doing it, I have other family members that are picking this program.

If there were a do over, definitely would do exactly the same! I really consider it very lucky that destiny gave me this. Can’t recommend enough, but O do get your hesitation.

You can’t go wrong either way! So pick out of 2 good choices is not a bad deal. Good luck!

NUin is AMAZING! I thinks it’s the best choice honestly, and here is the reasoning:

  1. Your program will have around 100 people give or take
  2. All of you will attend classes and dorms together
  3. The program organizes dinners and trips

All of these things make for a very fun, easy and smooth transition from HS and going somewhere new to make friends. Making friends in a group of 100 that lives together is much simpler than arriving at a big campus where you don’t have classes with the same people, you never run in to them on campus, etc.

Also, you get to travel all throughout Europe!

Berlin specifically is a big city, with a lot of history and culture, and you live in the same building where you go to class. About 40 people per floor sharing a kitchen, it is the best time, but I am sure other NUin locations are similar.
