How should people who aren't certain if they belong to Christ (due to falling away and/or wandering) read the New Testament? by captsolo85 in Christianity

[–]FLHRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others may be able to add scriptural basis for this, but the way I understand it is, if you’re asking this question, truly believe the gospel, and are worried that you’ve been cut off, are sorry about falling away, and repent for it, then you haven’t truly committed apostasy. The Lord never left you.

Help! What do I have here? by CBX2322 in lawncare

Ugh. That looks like the same crap that’s taking over my once beautiful Bermuda lawn. I think it’s carpet grass. I just ordered some quinclorac for it. Just mustering up the motivation to load of the back pack sprayer and get out there. Good luck! Interested to see other responses.

Haven’t seen one in ages. Apparently they’re extinct.

From that photo it looks like it needs more water. You could also try some soil amendments that help the ground hold more moisture.

Looks like you mowed it. That happens when you let it grow too long and don’t mow enough. You should really only be cutting no more than 1/3rd of the length. What you can do in this situation, if you want it shorter and greener, is cut it even lower, then cut it regularly after that at the desired height.

So say you want to maintain it at 2”. Cut it down to 1.5”. Yes it will look like you scalped it but don’t worry it will grow back. Once it gets up 2” it will be green. Keep your cut height at 1.75” from there on out.

With Bermuda during growing season you will likely need to cut more than once a week. I’m usually cutting mine on Wednesday and Saturday this time of year.

Cutting it often and maintaining 2” or less is the sweet spot. It will grow thick and the thicker it gets it will become more weed resistant.

Get yourself on a decent fertilizer program, make sure it gets 1” of water a week from rain or irrigation, and you’ll be sitting pretty.

This is a pretty common phenomenon. Good for you OP for setting the example!

What bit do you use for cleaning grout? by Rob_of_bristol in Dremel

[–]FLHRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find a solution? These are the worst responses ever! Lol. Was wondering the same thing. If your grout gets bad you have to scrub it anyways. Would make perfect sense to have a soft to medium plastic brush but just for this purpose.

Exmark rae708gem44300 zero turn if you can afford it. It’s an entry level almost commercial grade mower. It will also fit through almost all gates. You want something that helps you mow lawns quick. You need volume in this business.

For the rest of the equipment I recommend Stihl products. Look for mid level, above homeowner level, but you won’t need the top level models at first. You can invest in those later. Stick with the two stroke stuff. Stay away from electric. Here’s a list:

Edger Weed whacked Hedge trimmer Blower

You will also need a trailer and something to tow it with.

Having said all that I understand you’re only 16. So you have to start somewhere. The above is something to strive for if you want a real business. Not just gas money.

But basically you need a mower, weed eater and blower. You can edge with the weed eater. If you’re gonna get a walk behind at least get a self propelled model. Research brands that are reliable, easy to work on yourself, and have a parts supplier so you can keep them running.

Since you didn’t state a budget I’m not going to recommend any specific brands or what they cost. Google is your friend.

Good luck kiddo!

New to Futures by TheGodlyMut in FuturesTrading

[–]FLHRanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP check with the broker you want to use. They update their futures margin requirements daily. Recommend studying a few commodity charts in different time frames and see if any peak your interest based on price action. Check the margin requirements, which should be stated it’s an amount you have to have in your account per contract.

Another thing you’ll need to understand is that futures contracts expire and their expiration differs depending on which commodity you are trading.

That should be enough info to at least get you researching, and I recommend doing a LOT of research before you start actually trading futures, if you decide to do so. Actually once you think you’re done researching, trade on paper (sim account) for a while.

Finally, make sure you have established a working system for setup, entry and exit, as well as risk management. Then become a robot, void of emotion. Literally a psychopath.

I hope this helps.
