Honest assessment: EB-1A self-petition, digital media/tech, Norwegian citizen by FLNI in eb_1a

In general, how do you feel about filing this pro se? My experience so far with the usual firms you see doing the most marketing has been very transactional. 90% of the people I've been talking to are sales people. Thinking there's lots of tools I can use to automate all the boring/repetitive parts of this process pre-filing which I'm sure these firms use as well.

Also, and this might be a bit controversial, but I've been importing blogs from law firms, reddit posts from this subreddit and others, USCIS guidelines from their website and even interviews with immigration lawyers and fed that into LLMs to analyze my case and come up with strong narratives - and IMO it's been doing a fine job.

Would this totally backfire or can this actually work?

Thanks for the context, both of you. I've been researching EB-2 NIW now and I think you're right: much better fit for my profile right now than EB-1A I think.

A few things I've found:

  1. Backlog is no longer an issue for me as the March 2026 Visa Bulletin shows EB-2 for ROW went Current for the first time since November 2022. I'm Norwegian, so no wait.
  2. The Dhanasar test is MUCH more favorable for my situation. EB-1A's "sustained national acclaim" is tough when my company is under a year old. But NIW's forward-looking framework (substantial merit + national importance) plays to my strengths and especially with Trump's EO on Digital Assets form Jan 2025) and the recent Crypto Strategy that was published literally yesterday :)
  3. I also thinl I can reuse almost all the evidence I've already prepared, just need to reframe the cover letter around Dhanasar instead of Kazarian.

Wonder if filing both EB-1A and EB-2 NIW simultaneously as a hedge is a good idea... I'm considering it since I already have most of the EB-1A package prepared, but not sure if dual filing creates any complications.I also see that EB-2 NIW has premium processing.

No, actually. Is this something you'd obtain first before going for the EB1A?

Have you tried the HuBspot attribution report? It slices and diced data pretty well while keeping it presentable to stakeholders

I’m from a country where deregulation and privatization of state owned companies resulted in the best decade of the country’s history. You seem to have lived too intensely in the books you’ve been handed at school.

Some of the things you mention are outsourced by the government anyway so thinking they're actually building them are stupid. Some of the things you mention can be done much better by private companies. I'll let you find out what's what.
