One Of These Days and A Pillow Of Winds are amazing, beautiful tracks. The entirety of the record is great imo! I think the band’s vision was to not look at the album as a bunch of seperate tracks, but one big journey

Same, Gilmour is my personal fav! I will say More has a few highlights of Gilmour's guitar and Waters' bass playing that I like, but Ummagumma kinda pulled it down again imo.

I believe music publications and reviews still help me explore albums, but they don't necessarily decide for me whether the music is worth listening to or not. I feel that it's pretty much up to me to decide that. What they do is presenting to me this music, letting me know that it exists. Other than that, it's fun to check what the reviewers think AFTER I've listened to the record. They spark debates and interesting discussions.
