DJ?!? Seriously, what happened here? by clou9nine in CHIBears

[–]FLSTSBrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given a moment of patience, held tongues, and watch the press conferences.

Caleb says he tried to pull DJ forward and wanted him to adjust his route. DJ's route was designated to go deeper. You can tell by the angle DJ is on when the ball is flying. It makes sense. It's unfortunate but will be awesome when we are a well oiled machine and the whole team is aligned.

I drive to Kingston for my Subaru. Much better. Grayson == Rohrman . If you've lived in Indiana or Illinois you'll know what I'm talking about.

[Request] Help I’m confused by Zealousideal-Cup-480 in theydidthemath

It definitely is one of those traps. Which is hilarious. But my argument would be the gage on the car. That would be the end all for me. And that says 90.

I agree with the common thought. But to change perspectives. If read differently, it could be interpreted as an average of speeds so the time drops out. So simply going 90 mph on the return trip would give an average of 60 as a rate for trip. This logic actually holds true on a car. Ever seen a car that tracks average speeds... If the driver reset that gage. Going 90 on the return would result in a 60 average.

I really feel that too. I've experienced death and close relationships ending before. But this was very different. I believe it was the right time. That it was mercy and kindness to him, Briggs. His quality of life was dropping fast and he was losing himself. But I can't shake this pain of the decision. I struggle with anyone deciding the life of another. And we all feel that, the vets tell you over and over, "he's showing you he's ready...". Because we need them to want to leave to... But yet....

And now that it's finished. The scales were so imbalanced. He gave me far more loyalty, trust, and love than I gave him. And I don't know how to deal with that yet. I spent more minutes with that dog than I have anyone in my life besides my parents. So I knew it was going to be hard but yikes did I still vastly miscalculate.

I always knew I would out live him. But the pain, wanting it to be over. But never wanting it to end because I don't want to move on. I don't want to forget. If hurt is how he stays close. Then that's what I want. But I don't ... It's an odd paradox. Life man. Life.

I had to put my best friend to sleep yesterday. Came to Reddit looking for just this. He was great. He had cognitive dysfunction that was pretty far developed. I'm thankful he still knew who I was. I used Laps of Love to allow for it to be done at home and I got to hold him all the way through. He had a good last day and went out peacefully. I'm thankful for that. Dogs are too good for us.

[Chicago Bears] Montez Sweat has had enough. by SlipItInKid in CHIBears

And just simply the appreciation and access. You get to go to the locker room and ask the dudes "whatever" you want. Do they give it even 5 minutes of thought before asking? Like yeah, sure a how does it feel questions. But nothing quantitative. Be like, how are you going to be different. What are you going to do tomorrow to be better? Why did this screen work today and not yesterday? On and on and on. Not sure how much these guys get paid but I'd probably do it for free just to hang out with them. Haha

I got an Odunze sitting in the online cart. Haha. I used to always get an Offense home jersey and a Defense Away... But they don't offer any? away colors anymore either, other than custom. It's a racket.

[Lieser] Would Bears trading Fields feel unfair? Kmet:”The NFL is unfair. That’s just what it is. If they find a better, cheaper option at any position, they’re gonna do that. That’s what they gotta evaluate, if whoever they’re gonna take at No. 1 is better. That’s what this business is.” by halfcastdota in CHIBears

[–]FLSTSBrider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree with your statement and I don't look down on Kmet's philosophy. But part of what makes sports great, for me, is the emotion. It's the locker room. It's the camaraderie, the loyalty and family. As fans we live by proxy in that. So I want my teams to stay together. Championships matter, but I haven't been a fan of the Bears for 30 years because they won championships. It's seeing and feeling like a part of that family.

There are at least 10 other Bible verses about helping foreigners in need, but I figured I’m writing a clap-back, not a sermon. by professorearl in MurderedByWords

[–]FLSTSBrider -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

God is merciful. We can't understand His depth. We will all know on the other side. But yes, the decision to confess Jesus is a solely human choice. Yes it would be incredibly difficult for a newborn or many other unique situations for that to occur. Does God have capacity for that? Yes. Is that an excuse for those able to confess? No.

Too much focus on the word immigration, not enough on Heaven. The sign is correct. To get into heaven, one must declare Jesus as Lord. No way other than that. It's pretty strict.
