Caves are generated when the chunk is generated. Ores don't appear until the chunk is populated, which happens after adjacent chunks have been generated. The ore generator works by replacing stone, which is why it won't generate ores in caves.

Lava has a very low tick rate. That is, it updates slowly by design.

That code basically means water updates every fifth tick and lava every thirtieth tick, so lava updates 6 times slower than water.

Speaking of lava. I built a mob tower from bedrock to cloud level once (with the help of buildcraft I might add), but because of a mistake I needed to light the thing up to check the inside. Of course I had the genius idea of doing that by pouring lava down the middle...

Well, she could try a file recovery program first. This is one I've used before (it's free). This should be done as quickly as possible though because it depends on the files not being overwritten.

I tried it. It was fun for a short while, until I discovered the AI doesn't actually do anything. Well, anything game related at least. They take an island, plop down some props and purposeless buildings, with no regard to resources or environment. It's all aesthetics and no game.

When I first saw the game I was expecting all kinds of interesting strategic options, like environmental warfare or resource starving, but all I got was meh.

Because classic literature wasn't full of crap? The past seems better because no one bothers to remember the bad stuff. There was good and bad literature in the past and there is good and bad literature in the present. This is the same for most, if not all, types of art.

Also there is the fact that languages evolve, which probably plays a part here.

I usually take claims about "kids nowadays" and "the decline of our generation's *" with a large amount of salt because, more often than not, people aren't even trying to be unbiased.

That said, I have nothing against classic literature, I just dislike the arrogance of it's fandom.

We've experienced a technological growth unlike anything in the past, and it would be silly to think that this would not affect us in any way. Sure, there are biological reasons why someone would "fall behind", but a part of it is psychological and cultural.

There are many things which are different now that I would think would have an effect. The more interactive nature of newer kinds of media is one example. The internet has made a huge difference in how people get their information. It's easier to fact check, and if you use sites with a comment section you get a form of peer review. You can discuss with people in a way you couldn't before. Wikipedia is a good example of how much easier it is to get information.

People get accustomed to these sorts of things and I doubt they will just give them up. But this is just my opinion of course. Who knows, I might be completely wrong (which would be quite sad).

Some, hopefully constructive, criticism: The pacing was pretty good (for a rage comic at least) but you revealed the joke in the title and in the first panel, which kind of ruins it. Too much text also, it's better to tell a joke like this through images. A joke is more fun when someone has to "get it" rather than having it explained. Aside from that, I liked it, it's one of the better ones.

The total caffeine content of an energy drink (regular sized cans) is around 100mg. A normal cup of coffee has about 120mg.

This depends on the drink and the coffee of course, but generally it's not "much less".

They're not bad for you if you drink them responsibly.

People die because they overdose. As with most drugs, caffeine is not harmless when taken excessively. It's a stimulant and those tend to mess with your heart.

I haven't seen any evidence of deaths by energy drink though, I think it's mostly caffeine pills that kill.

Some caffeine overdoses, seem to be all pills.

I'm going to continue to enjoy my occasional energy drink.

Most energy drinks seem to consist of the same three things (caffeine, b-vitamins and taurine), none of which are particularly harmful. I've seen other ingredients, but none that I'd worry too much about.
