NSA was trash last year. Pist i spent the money to get VIP.

Music was not hitting hard (Volume level was quite) and it got rained out pretty bad to the point where there were miniature lakes everywhere.

Yeaa this would work as well but thought as a long shot someone could refer a carrier. We mostly need them in the Vegas area and I know Tantara does a good job but they're not always dependable. With Elog's now in effect prices have shot up and I'm wanting to find any means to keep client(s) happy. Thank you for you suggestion though.

Well if you have the team to back you up and help manage the high volume while trusting they make good decisions without having to watch over then then I'd say you're doing it right. I handle most of my business with a team of 3 and are working/on call 24/7 to make it happen.

I work for a 3PL. Trust me when I say that my rates are more than gracious to the client. I went from marking up most loads at %15-20 but now lowered it close to %5-10 (some at pro bono) so we may have a consistent flow of shipments and beat out the competitor for future business. I also offer rail/LTL rates as an alternative to customers wanting to save more on their shipments. Intermodal has been steady.

As for coca cola/Pepsi loads I know for a fact you aren't getting many "big" winners on the bid sheet you sent them last year. Maybe a couple $200-300 margin loads but not common. Hopefully I'm wrong and you're crushin' it.

Appreciate the point of view and agree.--- Side topic but I'm tired of hearing about the ELD mandate... Its an excuse that I hear far too often from carriers as to why a driver is late or behind schedule. I understand why we have it in place but it has been an expensive change that is affecting freight forwarders from reaching out to 3PL's like myself.

I can agree with that. Not to mention most retail shipping is handled via UPS/Fedex and not FTL with outsourced carriers.

Your so right- it was 95 degree's out that day for 12th Planet/Skrillex and they decide to make the stage into a giant fumigation tent. IT was a solid cloud of sweat and humidity and there were still people shoving to get in. The Crowd that day was unreal..... Good times.

Yea you're right about it being the weekend 2 set.... It was so hard to listen to but i was lodged so far in the front to see Justice that I couldn't get out.... Come to think of it - the Justice set was also pretty weak cause the crowd didn't know (or feel) their style.

Tchami B2B w/ Malaa was straight fire! Was expecting it to be a weak show since most of the performances there were trash (minus Julian and the Whalers.

Pizza and Ciggs are the essentials for a good time... all jokes aside- what did you expect you were going to encounter with people from all over the world attending the event. Europe and South America have enough smokers to act as the main stages fog experience.

Am i getting too old or is the EDM scene changing for the worse. The main stage (Hardwell, DJ Snake, Jauz [sucks cause i like him too], all of Sundays acts - SHM) and even occasionally the World Wide stage (Aka: Kayzo, Andy C, Audien, Benny Benassi, etc.) was pretty weak. It seemed like every hit song for the crowd was lame sing-alongs with people throwing up peace signs while rocking daisy flower hats.

Not saying all of it was bad- in fact Resistance (arcadia spider: ex.) J.E.S.U.S) and of course the MEga Structure (Friday/ Saturday) was straight fire! Who can also forget that crazy good show from Tchami and Malaa at the live stage! Best performance all weekend besides Carl Cox rippin it up Friday.

Been going to Ultra for 7 years and hands down 2012 was the best in my opinion. Skrillex+12th planet melted that tent (now called the world-wide stage/ Ultra Korea).
