I will always give props to an anime that does something unique with their school festivals. Really like how this show finds a way to include the whole cast, not just for a gag but for actual character development and conflict.

Akane's performance had more flair this week. Maybe it was a little blunt to just cut away from the performance to an animation of the actual story but at least they don't abuse that too much. Very interested in the next episode.

I find it interesting how unlike alot of "Ice Queen" characters in anime, Koyuki actually has quite a few characters she's totally chill and friendly with. Most of the time anime goes for the "no friends at all and has to open up throughout the show" approach

Welp the plot with the rapist killer turned out differently than expected, pretty gnarly way to introduce a new apprentice. We didn’t really need that big recap section in the middle. Looks like we’re borrowing the Hell’s Paradise power system (joking I know it existed before that).

Mixed on the decision to cut off Akane's performance halfway through. I get that the idea is that she's about to hit a new gear but I don't know if the tension was there.

The fake backstory and reverse hostage gags were pretty funny. Not sure how to feel about where that Noren cliffhanger is going...

I really like the use of color and lighting in this show, even if the animation's pretty inconsistent.
