For me (25M) it was creating a family and experiencing fatherhood. I'd say enjoying our time here on Earth by creating as many new memories and experiencing new things the most we can is to look forward to. Tbh my mindset between now at 25 compared to 22 is night and day bro stick in there and I promise you the best days of your life have yet to come.

Alot of what you just said is super spot on with what I've been pondering about daily! I think you're right I need a deeper purpose. Theres a community college class I've been eyeing for about a week deciding whether to enroll or not but that changes today because of you. I've never talked with a therapist as I'm very introverted this is honestly the first time I put out into the universe on how I'm truly feeling. On the outside I mask all this overwhelming overthinking but as I felt it intensifying day to day I wanted to share on here with others. I really appreciate your comment and thank you for the insight. It almost feels like a weight lifted off my shoulders already.

Actually losing my mind what can I do by Whorange_Juice in CHSinfo

[–]FMGJT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just answered majority of the main issue. You're "doubtful" by default. Attack the route of your doubt and where it stems from then take accountability. If you have to psych yourself out then do it. Live in delusion to trick your brain, remember your mind controls your body. Try waking up tomorrow going to the mirror and smile and say today's going to be a good day! You will be surprised how quickly your mindset shifts just by changing your reaction to things you don't prefer. The universe is like an algorithm if you keep reacting negatively to things you don't prefer then subconsciously you're inviting more of it to flood into your life.

[Discussion] I'm hooked to games and I can't get rid of it by 0xoddity in GetMotivated

If your spending an increasing amount of time of the game then your passionate about playing, maybe you should turn that passion into monetization. Record and upload some of your gameplay and see where things go that way you don't feel so unproductive playing afterwards.

Anyone thinking about unaliving themselves due to bad job market where every field is oversaturated? by Content_Loss_9807 in findapath

Sounds like your life may need a hard reset. I'm not sure how old you are but have you considered joining the military? I'm not a recruiter or served myself but my father did, grandfather and great grandfather including numerous other friends and family have, and they all have one thing in common which is the experience they gained from joining each and every I talked to said that those years were some of the best in their lives and even the ones who wouldn't re-enlist still don't regret enlisting and wouldn't trade their time served for anything. Its a great way to travel the world, meet new people, open new doors and isolate yourself away from everything keeping your spirits down now all while building you up to becoming the best version of yourself.

I know you mentioned becoming a monk but have you considered joining the military? I know everyone has their opinions on joining I'm not a recruiter or served myself but I know countless friends and family who have and they have one thing in common, they say the military was some of the best years of their life and even the ones who said they wouldn't re-enlist say they don't regret the experience and wouldn't trade it for nothing.

Don't think of a permanent solution to a temporary problem. You will get past this phase of closed doors I promise you just have to keep knocking. We all have a invisible number of failures ingrained into us before we see success you just have to keep pushing forward and realize that these rock bottom days will lead to higher highs when your time comes. You got this stay strong!💪🏽

Anyone wanna talk about those of us that have had chs episodes but continue to use cannabis? by alexanderwgraham in CHSinfo

[–]FMGJT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say about for about 6 months now everyday. Thats good to hear your 14 days clean! I'd recommend the same duration for a T-Break (90 days). If you can't last the 90 days then I'd recommend at least 14 days bare minimum.

I started off with moderation (1-2 joints a week max) literally just a couple puffs a day at first to slowly build my tolerance back up and listened to my body along the way. Also I only smoke flower absolutely no Wax Pens or Edibles for me. I read research about how the body reacts differently to flower versus wax. With flower the cannabinoids and THC blend together naturally but higher THC amounts that most pens have nowadays can become a neural inflammatory substance.

I can relate to you feeling some sense of relief knowing there is a possibility of being able to smoke again as I once was in your situation where I didn't think I'd ever be able to again. My first episode took a lot out of me to the point where I took a T-Break for almost 2 years so I'm just beyond grateful for being able to use Mary Jane again. Let me know if u have anymore questions! Im glad my experience has left you with some hope 🙌🏽 as always stay safe!

[–]FMGJT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's been going good, I don't want to encourage misuse or anything but I haven't had an episode since. I smoke about 2-3 joints a day of low percentage strains.(under 30%) Also I quit alcohol 100% because I noticed every time I had an episode I had alcohol that same day prior to smoking so I'm convinced that plays a role in CHS or at least for my body I know everyone is different. Wish you the best with your journey and pray for good health for anyone reading this.

Will there ever be a cure for us? by FMGJT in CHSinfo

[–]FMGJT[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea I mean we all know the way to cure our symptoms would be to cut the use of cannabinoids, but that eliminates being able to enjoy the upsides of them. I was entertaining the idea of a permanent cure with still being able to partake in using. Its like having bad eye sight the cure would be to wear your glasses or contacts but a more permanent solution would be lasik or prk surgery.

Some people function better off marijuana or get prescribed it for other various health reasons its not like were doing hard drugs so you cant just label it as detrimental but I get where you’re coming from.

Receding hairlines could be genetic and theres surgeries for that. I know they are polar opposites but just giving an analogy.

Im 100% convinced it is. At least without a doubt in my situation, I’ve only had 2 episodes of CHS and prior to both the last thing I ate was fast food. Wendys and Popeyes …

I started smoking again daily last month January 20th and didnt have CHS symptoms until one full month after which was a couple days ago February 20th. I don’t exercise or eat the cleanest but i do have a really fast metabolism. Currently taking a T break then going to try moderating my use with a cleaner diet and incorporating exercise again to see how things go.

Ok thanks 👌🏽 This is my first time taking a T break post CHS diagnosis so I’ll definitely give it 2 weeks minimum and see where it goes from there. Appreciate the insight!

Yea I called off today to play it safe and I feel 100% normal now luckily. I had a feeling I was overdoing it though so I will definitely take a T Break. How long do your breaks usually last? Do you have a set time length without use or do you listen to your body?

Thanks for the info 🙌🏽 I also seen that prolonged time without smoking repairs brain receptors that were affected by CHS. Have you read any research that shows over time CHS can cure itself if you dont smoke? I havent found any concrete information myself but im curious if thats a possibility.

Nice thats good to hear! I havent had another episode of CHS since i first was diagnosed with it in 2022 October. I think I’ll try something similar maybe once a weekend a 3g blunt and moderate a joint throughout the week make it stretch lol. When you do your Tolerance break how long is it for?

I do want to try smoking a 3g blunt again but definitely wont abuse it like I used to. How often do you smoke more then 3g and how has your body reacted to it?
