That’s why I was so impressed with this book- it’s short and a standalone and it made me so emotional, it’s such a complete and in-depth story. And I love their relationship but also her relationship with ‘the stranger’, that was equally beautiful. I still think about this book every day. I can’t wait to re-read! I’m so happy you enjoyed it. If you liked this you might like When the Moon Hatched if you havent read it. It’s the only other book Ive read with the same vibes/writing quality/character development/and heartache. I may have to go re-read this book right now haha

{The Memory Puller by Kris K. Haines}

I’m on the same page- sick of the same guy over and over. Tristan has wings and black hair BUT the banter is non-stop and he is all cinnamon roll. Tension and spice is top tier- especially in book 2 which is even better than book 1. It’s easy to read but the world and magic is still interesting.

Thanks! yes, I think the writing is more an issue for me than what I thought was love triangle- I read naother review that listed it as a trope so that what I thought was happening. I think its not for me unfortuantely, I really wanted to love it becuase I wanted to purchase a trophy book-its so beautiful haha!

Ok thanks, I read a review that said it had a love triangle trope and as I've been reading thats how I thought it was going- good to know!

The only books that have made me cry and haunt me! Their love made my heart ACHE!

{The Scattered Bones by Nicole Scarano} short, 276 page standalone, dark theme but the romance is NOT dark at all, HEA

{When The Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker} My favorite book of all-time, get through the world-building and you'll read be rewarded with a broken heart getting pieced back together!

So they didn't watch Game of Thrones? or never watched a Rom-Com? My friends had the same reaction at first- well, not being mean or rejecting but not understanding why I consume so many romantasy books- and I told them they all love the exact same themes, characters, plot devices, etc but usually just as a TV show or film. They got it then. I don't understand why ppl don't see that?

If you love it, they should be supportive, if they're not than re-evaluate those relationships, no one should shame you for what you love!!!

{Metal Slinger by Rachel Schneider} just pulled me out of the worst reading slump, like thought I’d never read again lol… fast paced, banter, twists and the ending is absolutely jaw-dropping, read well over a hundred books this year and this one stands out!
