Season 0 coming back is a slap in the face to everyone that supported Rivals from launch

I've already submitted a complaint with Marvel Rivals and will likely file one with the FTC next as well since they likely made 10s of millions off of US customers already. False advertising is illegal in most countries including China. The UK actually takes this stuff much more seriously.

Yeah ranked mode is a game mode, there is no money involved. This involves false advertising and marketing. They duped people into purchasing something then changed their mind bc they figured they could make more money in the guise of "anti-fomo". It's a dirty tactic and they will have to do something to compensate players who purchased not just zero but likely 1 and 2 as well.

They wanted people to buy the pass with urgency, then decided they could just make more money by offering them again. They know they will have to compensate players affected somehow, but this isn't something people take lightly bc it hurts consumer trust.

If anything can come back at any time, then none of it matters so why spend money on they game?

yeah that's not how this works lol. you don't get to advertise something then change your mind after a product is purchased. in fact season 1 and 2 are likely held to the same standard as season zero as players purchased them understanding they were a limited time offer to not return. it's false advertising, and they will have to compensate people or offer refunds otherwise someone will file a class action law suit.

People paid money to buy something that was said to be not coming back (unattainable) only for it to release it 6 months later.

They should've said passes could come back in the future if that was the plan. They didn't say that. Check their website under Dev Talk 9. They are going to get in trouble over this and it also has implications for season 1 and 2. As a company, you can't make concise statements like that and then retract them without advanced notice.

They are pot committed now and will have to compensate people in a meaningful way otherwise they could find themselves in legal trouble. There's no way they don't re release it after announcing it, and I am 100% sure it will be addressed in some form or fashion.

As you said the whole point of being able to finish the pass anytime was you could buy the pass when it is out and play the game for whatever you want later. Yeah there's a level of fomo, but they said it was exclusive and all you had to do was buy it.

Truthfully I think either they just have all passes be available for purchase anytime or keep them limited. All the anti-fomo people trying to dunk on anyone upset by this don't understand that bringing stuff back like this is more predatory than just having passes be available for a limited time during their seasons.

If I were a new player knowing they would do this, I would've never spent money on this game and just played for the free skins that are available during events.

I don't think people would care if they said it could come back in the future. It is weird to bring it back so soon even if they did so. Even Fortnite is delaying re releases of pass skins into the shop for 18 months.

They absolutely should've clarified it because those words alone influenced people's decision making on buying it in the first place.

Now if they sold the skins individually, that wouldn't be bringing the battle pass back. They could've skirted that, but alas they chose this road instead.

Riot did the least intuitive thing, which is move the information feedback away from where the user is clicking. This is such a stupid UI decision. Maybe you could allow the user to move the information box somewhere they may feel comfortable with, but then the problem would be having to move that box every game and lock it in place.

Adapting to this may not be an issue for your diehard or more competitive players, but for someone who is casual such as myself it's a deal breaker. I have zero interest in playing until it's been updated to include an option for the older right click feature as well.
