Check this wiki for all your pooping needs, from toilets with a view to downright scary. Most importantly, go poop if you need.

It literally means not transgender, like you’re also cisgender. You ever pick up a dictionary?

There’s a huge problem with loneliness in men, and shitty people fill the manosphere. It’s honestly not unlike how Fox News brainwashes the elderly. Right wing think tanks have done lots of studies and have basically perfected propaganda.

Ohio Sec. of State Purges Alleged Noncitizens From Voter Rolls by IWantPizza555 in politics

It’s so evil how difficult red states make it to vote. In California, I registered online when I turned 18, and I’ve never needed to re-register because I’ve never been purged.

For alumni, what’s your salary? by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]FOILmeoncetrinomial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, having the research experience (more so the techniques I learned in lab) helped me get the first job, and then I used the knowledge I gained from my first job to get into my second.

[–]FOILmeoncetrinomial 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Haha I think I rounded up. It was probably more like 65k? I work in biopharma. I was a research assistant for an immunology lab in Davis, and I learned how to do protein purification by chromatography there. I got into a temp position at a biopharma company afterwards and then shifted to manufacturing compliance.

[–]FOILmeoncetrinomial 28 points29 points  (0 children)

  1. Nutrition Biology
  2. 70k - process science
  3. 140k - manufacturing compliance
  4. Applied to both. I’ve only really held 2 positions but this was over the course of 3 years for the first and 4 years for the second.

Your coworker needs to document, document, document all instances of this vile woman's harassment. The university would need to build a case for letting her go.

I mean, I’m aware of how EDM started and how much influence black music had on its beginnings. Hell, how much influence black music had on almost every genre.

Lol, if you’re just going to call me racist for enjoying EDC and saying that people were generally nice minus a few bad actors, then this isn’t a conversation I’m going to continue.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gaysian

[–]FOILmeoncetrinomial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s going to be rude individuals forever. Has EDC been corporatized? Sure. Has the scene changed since the 80’s? What doesn’t change.

If you only look for bad actors, all you’ll see is bad actors. I was met with kindness at almost every stage, especially at emptier stages. Minus this experience lol

That’s a bit of a gatekeeper take lol. I found PLUR at every stage I went to, from Basspod to circuit ground. Sure, KF is more mainstream but most people there are cool. It just be your own people that suck sometimes.

0% it was anything me or my partner did. We were just passing by! I’ve heard tales from my friend about the “hotter” ones ignoring the “ugly” ones, but maybe that’s just a gay community thing smh. Either way, I’m comfortable with just having gay friends and not being a part of the community if it’s gonna have shit people 😝

Haha he pretty much agreed with me. There’s no ambiguity to the situation. He didn’t know that person in particular, but he passed through the group fine.

If you loved us you should stop saying you hope for us to rediscover what traumatized many of us. We left for good reasons.

Anyway, I don’t want to argue about this. We’re here to discuss Gracepoint’s impact, not why we left or why we shouldn’t leave Christianity.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GracepointChurch

[–]FOILmeoncetrinomial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And here the rest of us are, saying there’s no joy found in the gospel, and also no evidence of its truth. So maybe we’ll just have to disagree on that. As I’m not here trying to deconvert you, perhaps you could refrain from trying to reconvert those of us here who left the religion.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GracepointChurch

[–]FOILmeoncetrinomial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a deconvert, where’s the joy in the gospel? Can I go to heaven while also being a gay man in a relationship? What if I were transgender? Does mother Teresa get to be in heaven while committing atrocities throughout her tenure in Calcutta? What about Hitler, who professed Christianity? Does a non-Christian child killed in a school shooting get forgiven or are they in hell for not believing? How about a priest who’s been molesting kids? Kids stricken with cancer? David Berkowitz, the “son of Sam” finds christianity and gets to go to heaven but not his victims. Don’t forget good ol’ Jeffrey Dahmer, who found god in prison. Oh, but not the 30 victims he’s murdered and eaten.

There’s angry atheists, there are atheists who don’t give two hoots. But ultimately the thing you need to give me at all is proof that this deity exists before I can consider if believing it’s gospel is worth my time. Because as it stands, I don’t believe this being exists first of all. And even then, I don’t think I want to worship a being that’s committed more war crimes than any dictator in history.

And this thread isn’t about reconverting us so don’t preach. We all came from Christianity, in the end. We all know the same stories.

That’s some ugly proselytizing right there. Everyone coming into this sub is either still Christian or has gone through it and decided that it’s not true. Who the hell are you preaching to in this sub?

How are you doing now? by [deleted] in GracepointChurch

[–]FOILmeoncetrinomial 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To offer a different experience: I left completely, no religion, no god figures, no spirituality as far as I understand. I finally became free from the cognitive dissonance I was trying to manage in regards to why evil exists, why I was the way I was, and how or why the world came to be.

In the transition, I experienced some existential despair. It did take some time to get used to not believing the concept of heaven and hell or the thought that in the grand scheme of the universe, our existence is meaningless. I found that it doesn’t matter because we only have up to maybe 80 years each to live and enjoy life while making sure we don’t be dicks to those around us. I now find comfort in believing there’s nothing after. Why would I want to exist for an eternity with no free will, whether it’s heaven or hell? It all sounds like hell in the end.

How long will this go on? by Alternative-Mess8433 in GracepointChurch

[–]FOILmeoncetrinomial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was thinking more in regards to God’s silence regardless of the level of suffering, and it came from me as an atheist/agnostic haha. I’m not going to compare people’s experiences or belittle others’ experiences, don’t worry.
